Floyd Mayweather vs Danny Garcia

Completely pointless. Danny has nothing for Floyd at all. It's fairly clear at this point that Danny can't cope with style.

After his showings against Herrera and Peterson, i think it would be a disappointing opponent choice. Did Mayweather say it would be a non-title fight? If so, maybe Cotto has decided to avoid the the GGG mandatory (if he beats Geale), vacate his belt and he will be fighting Mayweather at a catch-weight. Makes no sense. The only reason to fight Cotto is for the MW belt.

Of all the possible Floyd opponents, Danny is the fight I'd least like to see get made. I really hope Floyd doesn't waste his last fight (supposedly) on a guy who really has already been exposed. Danny would be embarrassed worse than Canelo was

How many times have we seen Floyd dismantle power punchers like Garcia before? Garcia brings nothing new to the table, but would be yet another easy safe fight for Floyd, like all the other offensive power punchers before him. The only fighter at WW that will give Floyd a seriously competitive fight is Khan, a defensive technical boxer with faster hand & foot speed and longer range & height. Also, Khan brings way more money to the table than Garcia.

I just think that Danny Swift has earned the right to cash out before Floyd Mayweather retires. I just believe that he deserves a career payday given all that he has gone through and yet is still undefeated and remains at the top of his respective weight class. At least in my judgement, I just think that now is the time for him to move up and cash out with a big money fight.

I rather just see him beat Khan in his final fight. Both Garcia and Khan are super easy fights for Floyd, but I think there's more history with Khan and it would make for a more fun fight at least.

Cmon guys. Garcia is a joke, not a chance he deserves Floyd. I mean this guy fought guys like Salka, and got a terrible beating by Herrera and Peterson.

since everything at 140 is irrelevant, shouldn't Thurman get the fight over khan? Thurman has a better resume at 147 than amir does Possibly so but Khan is the bigger name and a tougher fight for Floyd as styles make fights.

I had the Herrera fight a draw and had him beating Peterson by 2 rounds.He's done more to earn this fight than Guerrero ever did.I think he would be motivated and would be a stronger fighter at Welterweight.He's a young guy but he's very experienced and not to long ago Roach wanted him as a Pacquiao opponent.

if mayweather takes this fight then we'll just have to take it as a farewell showcase fight, because there is literally no way garcia can win.

agree with all your points pro-Garcia. i still think Cotto for the 160lb title is more likely and a bigger fight. Fight won't happen. At least not for the middleweight lineal belt. GGG is'nt going to step aside in my opinon. Cotto wants to **** block GGG's career. If I were GGG I would return the favor.

I think this is the most likely fight for mayweather. Garcia is a decent fight but one mayweather can win with ease. I felt peterson won their fight and he did it by exposing Garcia's basic footwork. Garcia said it was time to move up, he has defended his title numerous times. The fight would have decent build up mainly due to angel Garcia and Floyd Sr. I'm sure Thurman won't be the fight, he's fighting in July and he is high risk low reward. Khan doesn't fight in September because he fasts because religion, if I'm right, although this is the one I would want to see. I also think this would draw the most money. I don't think he would go up to middleweight at this point in his career, why fight for a 6th division title when he said he isn't fussed about getting the record for most wins for a retired undefeated champ. Kell Brook could be the opponent but I think it's too early for him. So for me it has got to be garcia
