Started his career as a kick boxer and after winning a World title in there he switched to boxing. How many boxers have done that? Vitali? And?
No amateur experience and transitioned to become a serious pro. Beating Emmanuel Taylor and of course one of the most hyped fighters in Provodnikov who gave Bradley hell and I think should've won that bout. Then to get up from being knockdown twice and a swollen eye and win the WBO belt was mesmerizing.
After that I was very amazed at the heart he showed against Pacquiao getting up from so many knockdowns and still going to the decision.
Anybody fighting Algieri got to come with their A game cuz this man ain't going no where.

Yet you were still saying that Devon could beat guys like Porter, Maidana and Thurman after he got whitewashed by Khan.
Loses to Algieri doe :lol1:
I don't want to be associated with people like you who will defend any sh1t that Khan pulls. Overly emotional fanboys basically. I will stop digging you out now because I don't legit want to make you cry. You're not a bad guy.
After a win sure. He still has the talent, but he would need a confidence builder. If Chris fights him off of Khan loss then I go with Chris.
You don't want to be associated, ie you care about "online" stuff, which you said you don't. That was the point. You're like Froch with the contradictions.
No, No please do keep digging me out I want those self ownages coming. :lol1:
Gem? You pulled a Fury in there.
At this point, Devon's confidence is at an all time low. I mean he lost two big fights. One in which he lost all rounds. Algieri would be getting him at the right time. Like they fed Castillo to Hatton.
No, of course you don't care. There is a reason why you're worried about being associated with "other" Khan fans. :lol1:

I snooped through your history because I remember you making threads about Alexander, hyping him up and saying he could still beat a lot of top people.
Yet now you're saying Algeiri beats him just to defend Khan's choice of opponent. :lol1:
Meantime, I found that gem.
I didn't ask anyone to change their sigs for me....lol I mean yeah thanks I guess but I don't care about having friends or "groups" online. Sorry to hurt your feelings.

#championlifestyleThey are two kickboxing champs that had done it before, pretty sure the thai fighter did it on his very first fight, the American fought a few times if I recall correctly and became a Champ too, I'll give you the names later around...
You know what sucks? That wasn't banter, you went snooping through my history to find a sucker punch intended to bury me in my own thread.
You were right about not wanting to associate yourself with "other" Khan fans. For good reason too. :lol1:
You're so up your azz you're calling the same people tardish or c.ock suckers that changed their signs for you when you got banned. Provided it was only moral support, but even then. I actually held you high regards. Sigh.

Oh ok so he was an "easy defence" for Provodnikov, not Pacquaio.
Yeah....that makes you sound better :lol1:

That was before he fought Provodnikov. You cant even get it right you dumb ass. :lol1::lol1::lol1:
You got BigJavi'd.

Box Office's thoughts about Algieri-Pacquiao....

Box Office's thoughts about Algieri-Pacquiao....
He fought Bradley and Alvarado in World title fights. So, Algieri is an easy defense to make some coin before getting in to an another hard fight. At least that is what I make of it.
:lol1:

Yeah hes a future p4p contender for sure.Pacman was lucky that his trainer lost the key and couldn't let him out of the cage ....
I wouldn't put Algeri in the "He didn't try to win, he tried to survive" category after his fight with Provoknikov. Algeri was actually landing a lot of straight rights on Pacquiao. It's just he doesn't have the power to make Pacquiao respect it. They say power is born and not made. And Algeri doesn't have the best chin in the world either. He did well in his career for what he had. Not to mention he started from kickboxing. I respect Algeri. He's got heart.
If that was Rios trying then Algieri was better at it.
Rios was target practice. Algieri at the very least had movement and wasn't a sitting duck. Chris got dropped cuz he tried to punch, so he gave openings. Hard to do against Rios, when you don't even punch and all you do is stand with your hands up.
Algeiri didn't throw with conviction
He didn't plant his feet .
He was punching whilst moving
And let's be clear here- his gameplan was to ko PAC
Let me repeat- algeiri did not try and win
Rios did.
Watch the fights again closely
Just because rios didn't land doesn't mean he didn't try. He was swinging big and missing late on in that fight
Chris's achievements in the sport of boxing are astonishing. He's definitely a big name in and around 147 pounds.
A fight he should persue is Amir King Khan. It would be a high speed chess match with Khan putting him in cheque mate in the late rounds.
Respect him as a professional fighter?
Sure.
Don't confuse me as somebody who doesn't. Find me a single post on here of me calling somebody a bum, you might have something.
Elite fighters at 140 or 147 having a problem dealing with him?
No.
If you can't beat Chris Algieri convincingly at 40-47, then no, I don't consider you elite.
And it's as simple as that.
There's only few in the 140-147 division that I would call "elite." In fact, there's only 3. You know who 2 of them are. The step below are in the Danny Garcia, Thurman, Bradley, Khan, Guerrero, Broner, Matthysse, Maidana, etc. category. I don't consider Algieri elite. I consider him game opponent for any of the fighters I mentioned. Sure, he'll most likely get dropped a lot. But his chin was never his greatest attribute.
Is that why you don't respect the guy?

Funny video clip:
"Did Algieri just say that he is faster than me? Really? You taller than me but not faster!" - Bradley
In November, he will see how fast Manny is......
