Potential Revenue of PBC on NBC. **Figures Inside** Please Feel Free To Make Own

It is my opinion that Haymon is simply investing these coming two years to secure a deal and doesn't necessarily need to make his money back. He and his investors are gambling at the chance for a big tv deal when the time shares run out. But I thought I'd put this up for fun, feel free to join in. -Commercials -Commercial Free championship Rds -Gate -In Ring Flyers -Merchandise -Commercial time calculations- Low End: 50k per minute / 27 minutes x 50k / $1,350, 000 High End: 200k per minute /27 minutes x 200k / $5,400,000 -Commercial Free Time- Low End: To be mentioned as commercial free sponsor / 50k per fight / 100k High end: To be mentioned as commercial free sponsor / 100k per fight / 200k -Gate- Low End: 500k-1.5m High End: 2m-5m -In Ring Flyers- Low End: Large Flyer 100k / Medium Flyer x4 100k / Small Rope Text x4 20k High End: Large Flyer 200k / Medium Flyer x4 200k / Small Rope Text x4 40k -Merchandise- Low end: 25k High End: 200k ***Both high and low end figures are completely speculative and under the best of circumstances*** Low End: Commercial Revenue: 1,350,000 Commercial Free Time: 100,000 Gate: 1,000,000 Flyers in ring: 220,000 Merchandise: 25,000 Total: $2,695,000 High End: Commercial Revenue: 5,400,000 Commercial Free Time: 200,000 Gate: 3,000,000 Flyers in ring: 390,000 Merchandise: 200,000 Total:$9,190,000 As you can see even on the low end, if things start moving along, it's not impossible to at least make your money back depending on who's fighting and what you are paying. As you can see on the high end, if things really take off, and you got a big fight, you could be making some serious cash. Theres a lot of potential money on network tv. Ive always been trying to tell people this. You get the sponsors and advertisers exited and it trumps anything HBO or Showtime can do.

You can't compare what Haymon is giving us in terms of fights to what the networks gave us back in the 70s and 80s. Back in the day we were watching the best fighters in the world on television for free. These were fights that today would be drawing PPV numbers most can only dream of. Instead of the greats of boxing today, Haymon gives us Garcia-Peterson in a catchweight, non-title, 10 rounder. It simply doesn't measure up. As for the advertising rates you are predicting, your high end rates would require upwards of 10 million viewers to be able to charge that much. That is not going to happen on a Saturday evening/night show. Weeknight, maybe. As long at they continue to pay out unrealistic purse amounts, they will never break even on these broadcasts. And the ratings for shows on Spike will be considerably lower as will the fight cards presented on NBC Sports. My high end advertising revenue was based on ufcs 5.7m average viewers.

There isn't much gate revenue. They give most of the tickets away for free. My homeboy gt 5 free tix for Fridays Berto fight that was expected, you cant sell out mgm with the likes of thurman, broner or mares... they need better matches..

For the first few events they will make a net loss as it's on free tv however the question is how sustainable is this model? The need to start making profit soon and views as WWE struggles with 5 million viewers a week. UFC on fox does about 3 million and they pay less.

This is if the show gets rolling. Not based on the first few PBC cards. Haymon's always seemingly been more about the TV money than selling tickets. For the PBC time buy, he's simply replaced HBO/SHO money with investor/ad money. And low ticket sales is part of the trade-off of working with smaller promoters like Goossen Promotions as opposed to GBP.

didnt all 20 dates cost haymon 20 million. with like 4 of those being on primtime? Ya, but you have to add in fighter salaries as well. There isn't much gate revenue. Speculation was they paid 5m for the first airing. Which is probably the high end. They cant really keep that up, nor do I think they will in the long run. They really dont need to pay everyone on the card 1m+ in the future to be on the high end of salaries for even good fighters like Guerrero and Thurman. didnt all 20 dates cost haymon 20 million. with like 4 of those being on primtime?
