I often think Brandon Rios is underrated as a fighter.
The Ring magazine doesn't rate him in the top 10 at WW or LWW
The WBC, IBF & WBO don't even place him in their top 15 in either division, despite the fact that he has beaten guys who they rank higher.
How do you rate Brandon Rios?
Rios is garbage
He got a good hearth and chin, some power, and nothing else
It's like a heavy bag that punch back
You been to his house and seen his fireplace?
Exciting phone booth brawler. Any opponent though who can move is pretty much disaster for Rios. I'd grade him at a C+, maybe a B- on a good day. Good but not great power. Good to very good inside fighter as noted. Steel chin as noted. Horrific defensively as noted.
But for those calling him a bum, well -- the bum has done pretty well for himself. Headlined several HBO cards and has a career record of 33-2-1, with 24 of those wins coming by stoppage. 33 wins in 36 career fights? Gee whiz man that's not too shabby for a bum status punching bag with legs.
YDKSAB really.. he has 2 losses already.. all posters here are undefeated.. ya dig?
Rios' best win is Mike Alvarado, whose best win is Brandon Rios.
Yes, yes I've said that a few times now here.
Abril exposed him quite badly. Even then it is quite amazing how someone that limited has done quite well for themselves.
Rios is underrated in here just because he is a come forward fighter with not much boxing skills.
He has already beat Anthony and im pretty sure he will beat Lamont.
Too bad that's he's with Arum. Would have love if he is with Haymon so he has more pool of opponents.
He will test the mental capacity of fighters with his style. Fighters like Judah and Berto will wilt from his barrage.

He's fun to watch but he's also a punching bag.
Rios is a Tecate-variety glorified peasant journeyman who happens to take a good punch all night to the mouth.
You know that clinching, headbutting, using your forearm are all illegal right?
But to answer the question, I would say Porter is up there
I guess greats like Ali, Sugar Ray are cheating bums right?
