broner, easy.
ortiz is a quitter with a glass jaw.
i dont have much positive to say about broner but atleast he took his ass beating from maidana like a champ and didnt quit. Even glass jawed khan went 12 with maidana and didnt fold like ortiz did
Broner shatters that glass jaw and makes him quit.
Its not just his lack of heart but his lack of defense and chin makes it virtually impossible for me to pick him to beat anyone half decent with some pop.
I think Broner would take this. The first few rounds would be great but by the mid-way point of the fight I think Broner would start to take Ortiz apart more and more to the point where it's an obvious decision at the end of the fight...unless Ortiz doesn't make it to the final bell because he realizes it's a losing effort in the final rounds.
Broner but not by much. Ortiz is a different fighter when he has success early in fights. But Broners been more active so he gets the edge in my opinion.
I voted for Ortiz and was surprised to see it so lopsided... Broner is a lot smaller than Ortiz. Ortiz was about to move up to 154 until he got his jaw busted, that's a lot for Broner to overcome. Ortiz doesn't have a bad chin... yes, he has 3 KO's but no one put him to sleep and he quit twice and the other got caught not looking.
I can't imagine Broner doing anything because Broner can't fight for sh*t backing up. Ortiz would just be all over him the whole fight, assuming Victor doesn't quit I think he'd put a pretty nasty beat down on Broner, it's a big size difference.
The trashtalk leading up to this would be so cringeworthy
Ortiz is capable of dropping the right hand over Broner's horrid shoulder roll with more power than Molina and hurting him, but he's a very inconsistent and unfocused fighter. It's more likely that he would get upset at some point and start jogging headfirst into punches.
ortiz has a good chance of catching broner early. broner starts slow, tends to shell up when pressured and doesnt have nearly as good defense as he thinks.
he is a tough guy though and he isnt going to lay down for anybody, unlike ortiz. ortiz is a bully, if he doesnt knock his man out in three rounds or gets caught with a good punch himself he is going to quit.. again.
i would go with broner. ortiz' window to catch people sleeping early is getting smaller and smaller now that the whole world knows what he is about. a punchers chance doesnt get you far at world level especially without the chin or heart to take shots yourself.
broner in 5.
