Why are punchers gloves such a BIG ISSUE for FLoyd?

Floyd knows that Maidana's strength is his power so he tries to take that away from him. They looked at Maidana's KO ratio and said to themselves, "Maidana's best chance and probably only chance is to KO Floyd, so how do we remove that advantage before the fight even starts?" ..... "Let's take away his preferred punchers gloves" just like Floyd knows that Canelo's advantage was his size so he tries to take that away from him by way of demanding a CW of 152 knowing full well that Canelo has a hard time making 154 let alone 152.

If Maidana and Garcia didn't try to use illegal gloves this wouldn't be an issue. My goodness this fight needs to happen and pass.

I usually always buy every fight but this undercard is god awful. I don't think I'm going to drop 75 for one fight. Probably just hit the bar at fight time, much cheaper.

Anyone that was planning on paying for a PPV, is now seeing a event with a ***** undercard, i and taking out the competitive nature of the Main Event.

I dont get it, he keeps saying it's not an issue, but he makes it a BIG ISSUE by going out of his way so his opponent can't wear punchers gloves? Is he afraid or what. Honestly i can't wait untill he retires already, and takes most of his BS thats ruining our sport, with him. This " issue" just makes me want to miss the whole event all together. And add in one of the shiieettiest undercards in recent years, not a good competitive fight in the undercard, now they add this "no punchers glove" rule to make it even more one sided. Buying this is literally flushing money doing the tiolet. From where I sit, it seems that YOU have more of an issue with this than anyone else.

This wouldn't even be an issue if Maidana could actually BOX! It's an issue because he relies on his power to win and he NEEDS punchers gloves. But to answer the question, Floyd is just making it known that he's the A side and he's going to try to have every advantage as possible. Weak sauce but that's the perk of being on top.

Why is NOT wearing 'punchers' gloves such a BIG deal for Chino? And just to clarify, Powerlock from Everlast gloves are stated as punchers gloves. Why does Floyd have a problem with Maidana wearing the same commission approved gloves that Cotto wore against him? Floyd's double standard is showing big time here. Add "glove gate" in bold letters to Floyd's legacy. Never heard of such a pussay move before in the sport, but I guess this is his game changer SMH.
