Time for the usual NSB flip flop?

I thought Kell would stop him tbh, but fair play to Porter, seems to have a decent chin. I just hope Eddie gets him the BIG fights now like Marquez, Thurman and Khan.

I don't see why it can't just be that Brook proved to be pretty good and for Porter to still be a good fighter. Everything most people said about Porter was still true in this fight. He was explosive and strong and a bull of a little fighter. Brook was better and knew how to handle it. This. Not much else needs to be said.

Very impressive performance by Brook. I picked Porter to KO him based on his higher level of opposition & various NSB/YT pundits picking Porter. dan_cov called it perfectly. Porter still a quality fighter imo, but Kell was just on another level.

This is also a little different in the sense that a lot of people on here knew next to nothing about Kell Brook. Lots of people seemed to have seen Kell once or twice and formed an opinion based on what other people were saying. Those people got to see Kell look good against a strong, young champion. If that's the first time you've really paid attention to Kell, it's less of a flip-flop on their part and more of an eye-opener.

that's how boxing works....a fighter must fight and win in the states....just like soccer players have to play in Europe in order to be taken serious in most cases....Brook came over and laid the smack down on a young champ in his prime....the perception of him is gonna change overnight because that's how the sport is fighters on that level don't fight every month so their normally critiqued based off their last performance or two....Brook beat up a fighter that many, including myself thought highly of.....it's not flip flopping if dudes feel Brook showed what was necessary to transform a few non-believers of his skill set into believers....like I said, that's the way the sport goes

FWIW, these boards have gone to shit like that for a few years now. It get's tedious trying to reason with some peoples absurd predictions, but sometimes it's just better to let the fighters do the talking for you. When one fighter steps up, the majority will say 'he's a bum', 'who's he ever fought', 'he's getting KO'd'. Well how the fuck can he prove how good he is if he isn't allowed to step up in the first place? Then, when the other fighter loses, it's 'he was a hype job', 'he wasn't very good anyway' etc... How about give props to a deserved winner for beating an awkward, but good fighter. It's always one way or the other in NSB, Kell loses....he's a bum, he wins....Porter was overrated. It's like this after virtually every Title fight.

I defended Brook as much as I could, from the prediction threads to the threads that said the fight was in doubt (where everyone piled in and called Brook a ducker). If only there was some browser add-on that keeps track of how wrong the posters of NSB are all the time.

I didn't know anything about Kell. I only knew his name because Karceno jocks him like he's the heir apparent to Floyd. The kids OK. He looked like just another belt holder to me.

As a Kell fan, I'm just happy he's now goinng to get the credit he deserves. I remember the reaction here to the injury that stopped the Alexander fight, how he was called average, a hype-job, etc... I had no doubt Kell would prove himself as a world class fighter, he's got his chance to show it and he's more than done so.
