Karass barely touched Thurman after the first round tbh, so Thurman didn't have to take many big shots. But look at the shots he took against Chaves...
Either way, getting stunned and staying on your feet is better than going down.
I think Chaves is a bigger puncher than Karass and he never really hurt Thurman despite landing some big shots.
Sometimes you just get caught with a big shot you don't see coming, that can stun anyone, even if the puncher isn't known for his power. People are looking too much into it imo.
Thurman was more than stunned. He was doing the bambi out there. He was hurt. Maybe we just have different definitions of stunned.
And I'm far from a Thurman hater.

This is the part where I come in and say that Chino ducked Thurman (which he did) and disrespect him. But I'm not doing that anymore. I got a lot of respect for Maidana.
I have my favorite and I'll pick a winner but it's a 50/50 fight.

What are you talking about, Chaves broke his nose and had him hurt. He just didn't know how to keep it up and Thurman adapted.

What?!
Someone on this site that isn't a hater or an idiot?! GTFO!
Keith hasn't really been hurt in any of his fights.
maidana took karass punches better (to the chin). he gets dropped but he never looked like that, watch his fight with ortiz, his legs responded very well.

He recovered after like 5 seconds after getting caught with a bit shot he didn't see coming, hardly anything major.
Maidana has been put down by smaller punchers than Karass...

is the WBA Vacant? did floyd drop it?
anyway, i said this in other thread, is not a good sign when soto karass makes you look like amir khan, i'm not sold on thurman's chin.
chino all the way

not sold on thurman yet, I've seen him hurt in all 3 of his past bouts. when chino cracks him he will swarm his ass. then again he could spark chino easily. id take chino.
Have you? He was stunned against Karass but recovered within like 5 seconds. When else have you seen him hurt?

Robert Garcia said that if no Mayweather rematch than Maidana is gonna retire
If this fight does happen I'm picking Chino.
Thurman talks a good game but I need to see more from him. I think Maidana vs Porter would be more evenly matched

if chino applies the same pressure to one time as he did Floyd I think he can get the win. one thing for sure, this fight will let the world to see what one time is made of.
This could end up being like Chino vs Ortiz, except without anyone quitting. Depending on who wants it most and can take the beating to stand up till the end. Both guys are touching the canvas doe!
