P.S. Brand wise as well whats a good brand in the boxing world??
Adidas shoes are better than the Nike ......
+1 adidas wizard lo
I like the lo type -- full calf are too restrictive.
Thank You so much I love em!! im check them out thank you again
Those adidas are badass, some of the guys in our gym wear them. They're like 200 bucks, too expensive for me, we're talking about shoes here not gloves or headgear. But they're awesome. Great quality, great cooling system, very light, great ankle support. Maybe worth the money if you can afford them. I think they wore those in the olympics. So they're definitely high quality, but not worth it if you're not THAT serious about boxing.

damn so many ideas and other peoples thoughts on the subject I really dont know how to pick which one to follow I mean whats a good idea for a beginning in-fighter then?
I really don't know much about shoes/boots I'm doing so much research and some of the shoes are from japan and its like hard to read and get to them and I don't want weak cheap shoes that will break like the Nike's or everlast. Im sorry for being a pain but thank you guys for your input.
i wear the Nike Hyperkos now they are a bit expensive but have lasted longer than most shoes I've had and i feel like I've worn almost every type. I had the machomai by nike and the sole came apart quickly which is kinda weird cause the sole is the same on the hyperko just seems like they were using softer rubber when i had the machomai. Double A boxing makes a good shoe for the the price my friend swears by his he has the high tops
Quite like Mizuno boxing boots myself.
Where do you find these for less than like 300?

I've heard terrible things about the Machomai also. They apparently give no support and feel like slippery socks.
i never tried them.. but the video is useful because theres general tips about what to look for in boxing shoes to suit your own feet..

They do. I paid 100 bucks for those ****ty Nike's and they're just pure crap. The lacing system is ****ed up, they don't give any ankle support, the sole is a cheap piece of rubber glued to the rest of the shoe and it actually starts separating after 2-3 months to the point where it almost falls off. They're light but that's about it. Might as well wear some flip flops and save yourself 90 bucks.
**** Nike and their Machomai. They fall apart within a few months, it's just a bunch of layers glued together. **** Nike in general. **** quality. Same for Neverlast. Don't buy that ****.
Onitzuka Tigers are badass in terms of quality and style.

Stay away from these shoes - can wind up in a wheel chair. http://l.yimg.com/bt/api/res/1.2/xli.hzV9w.ufEY9rp.y01w--/YXBwaWQ9eW5ld3M7cT04NTt3PTMxMA--/http://media.zenfs.com/en_US/Sports/AP_Boxing/201404122343854190848-p5.jpg
Training and Nutrition forum should be more appropriate.
Personally, I like Everlast shoes for more support. Ringside shoes are pretty nice also, but are a little softer. Boxing shoes basically run similar to wrestling shoes, except with more grip and far more ankle support.
here's a good place to start..
http://www.shopeverlast.com/boxing-footwear.html
then copy and paste the name of the shoe in google and look for reviews..
