I mean...it's Brandon Rios.
Only to people who were looking to hype him. Rios was not a world level 147 lb fighter and never fought at 147... like I said before crap fight before, during, and after. Pac isn't washed up, but the Rios fight proved nothing to me other than Pac has fear of getting KO'd again.
Yeah I noticed the response after Manny's performance but I just chalked it up to them not knowing or understanding boxing. These are the same people who considered Rios a tough opponent beforehand. The man is a C-class lightweight coming off a loss to another C class fighter. Truthfully, I felt really bad for Pacquiao in that fight. He gave the appearance of his old self but if you looked real carefully you could see that he has declined considerably. And unless he rediscovers his power, his next opponent (Bradley) will expose this.
Pac fans are stupid and are always being ironic. I mean you could print out someones face and tape it to a punching bag and put it in the ring with Pac in China and his fans would still buy that garbage. Thats basically what happened.
I want Pac to get down on his knees and beg Floyd for the fight. Thats the only way it's happening because right now Pac isnt even on Money's radar, the dude is flat broke and is desperate for a fight.
The hate is strong in this one.
Floyd needs to make this fight ASAP. Otherwise he will soon be
inducted in the Chicken Hall of Fame. Calling himself Money and avoid
the biggest money fight of the century is embarrassing. He should be
begging for this fight. How can you enjoy your money if you're the
laughing stock of the world? It's not hard to imagine. :D
Can't wait to see the duck without Pac in his resume. That will be fun. :D
Clock is ticking.
Apparently Pacquiao went from needing to retire to being the biggest threat since Osama Bin Laden. But I called this when the Rios fight was signed, Pacquiao would beat Rios impressively, actually by KO, and his fans would claim he's god again. Pacquiao looked a little worse than I imagined and didn't do to Rios what I thought he'd do but still was enough to get the c-ckroaches out of their nest and posting with confidence again.
The only people who said that were Floyd stans.
I mean...it's Brandon Rios.
Come on Pac was beating everybody to the pulp and putting fighter on wheelchair including Bradley. Pac was really looking good against Marquez until that Heredia powered punch landed.
All the floydiots were in rejoice because they thought their coward boy just got away from Pac. They said Pac is done, his chin was already cracked and needs to retire because Rios only need to land a punch. Then Pac proved them wrong. Floyd all of the sudden covered himself with so many barricades against Pac and his idiot fans were desperate to defend that cowardice moves by their coward girl.
I mean...it's Brandon Rios.
It was a good win against a very tough guy, although as u said "It's Brandon Rios" which knowledgeable boxing fans can understand where you are coming from. After Pacquiao's devastating ko and year long layoff, Rios was the right choice and was not only used as a confidence booster but also as a measuring stick to see where Pacman Is at at this point In his career. After shaking off the rust for the first 3-4 rounds I think he turned It on and aced the test. He will now move on to bigger and better things.
I mean...it's Brandon Rios.
If Manny would've lost the same mindless fervor that surrounds him would still be firmly in place. His fans would still believe Mayweather is running from him etc.... All Manny needed was a win against a warm body to restore their faith in his "invincibility." Sometimes fans don't want to believe their fighters will lose or fade but they will, if Mayweather keeps fighting he will eventually lose one day and that's just a fact.
Manny Pacquiao's boogeyman to Floyd, in the business he is in he cannot afford to looking like shaken he must do something so he will not lose his followers. And what ideas can you expect from Floyd, no other than what he is doing. That's only how far his mind can work so who remained as his fans? there you go, you're getting the same minded followers.
Sh*t fight. Didn't impress or do what he was expected to do which was destroy Rios who does not fight at WW, has not won a fight a WW and does not belong at WW.
Then again, Pac has avoided the ENTIRE WW devision for nearly 2 years due to cherry picking fighters who do not fight or campaign at that weight. He has YET to impress many people since his 2009 fight with Cotto which was when he last fought a legit WW.
Yes we know, Cotto only had a title because he beat a bum and got a vacant title however Cotto at a catchweight was a LEGIT WW and that was the last time Pac impressed anyone. His hype and stock has went on the decline since and has yet to face legit WW opposition.
The fact Pac couldn't put Rios to sleep was nearly as bad as the failed PPV numbers. Let alone fighting in China.
The fight didn't bring anything but a bunch of trolling alts back from the dark corner they got put in.
I know Silva is a clown like Mayweather but fights like Pacquiao. And he is the best in the MMA. He hates Floyd with great passion too. Is he retired? That's all I know as a casual MMA fan.
I bet casual boxing fans don't even know Pac's been knocked out. I also bet they think the biggest fight in boxing is still Pac vs Maynever.
People badly want to see Mayweather lose. It doesnt have much to do with Pacquiao being "back" but that the superfight is still alive
True. Mayweather has the advantage of being a guy that people pay to see in the hopes to see him lose. Despite the setbacks, people see Pac as the only guy who poses any kind of realistic chance of beating Mayweather.
People have seen Mayweather tear through and embarrass all these highly touted guys like Ortiz, Guererro, Canelo.. The public is asking, "OK, you beat those guys. Now beat Pac."
The more Floyd talks down Pac while continually ducking him, the more the public thinks Floyd is scared of something. As such, peopel still want to see the fight even if it's 4 years over due.
Last thing.. I think people here seriously underestimate how much big of fanbase Pac has developed with casuals. People at work know me as the boxing guy. Whenever I start talking about some amazing fight I saw on HBO, they stop me and ask "When is Pac/Mayweather".. This is despite the Bradley robbery and Marquez KO. It's the only fight that really matters in the grand scheme of things. Mayweather/Khan, Pac/Rios, Pac/Bradley 2, etc is just a sideshow.
:lol1: :lol1:
It's so funny man. A lot of people don't even know that Pacquaio got knocked out and took an 'L' (not really though) against Bradley. They have no idea! It's truly the only fight that matters mainstream-wise.

Whether I acknowledge it or not, the fact is, when people look at his record they are going to see that L next to his name. I'm not saying he lost. What I'm trying to say is, look how quickly people forgot about Abril beating Rios. The Ponce de Leon fight did nothing to Broner's career. You thing the Vera fight is going to do anything to Chavez's career? Probably not. He'll still probably fight Andre Ward within the year. The point is, no one is going to remember the fight. They will Wikepedia this sh*t and see an L next to their name.
I have to disagree. Pac is not Chavez Jr. or Broner.
All casual fans I know who saw Pac/Bradley think he was massively robbed. Everyone who saw the KO recognizes dude was game and got caught with the perfect punch.
The fight still has massive value. The hype from the Rios fight is simply people saying, "See, I told you he wasnt done". Anyone who thought he was doesnt know **** about boxing.

Who cares? You keep on mentioning something that doesn't matter. The number of people who saw the Pacquiao fight outnumber the retards who will check boxrec 10 Million to 1. Nobody treats is as a loss. The media doesn't treat as a loss. The fans who would potentially buy a Mayweather vs Pacquiao don't treat as a loss. Maybe people 100 years from now will treat it as a loss, but as of right now, they're irrelevant.
The comparison between Broner/Ponce De Leon doesn't hold because nobody saw that fight. On the other hand, EVERYBODY saw the Pacquiao fight.
