Why are people so down on Delvin? While not elite, Delvin has trains hard and shows up to win. Cotto did what he was supposed to do, KO a guy that isn't on his level and remind people that he is a world class fighter.

All of the above. Rodriguez was put there to make Cootto look good but Cotto showed that he has more left then people thought. How many times have we seen fighters just look a lil good and win fights by decision when we expected a thrashing??? Give him credit for disposing Delvin the way he did. And for anybody that doubts Cotto still, push for a fight between Cotto and Martinez. Simple.

Roach had him aggressive and using his left hook to body early and often. Rodriguez was feeling those from the first one he landed. Cotto is the reason he won. Nobody has ever put a beating on Rodriguez, even in his losses. He was dismantled and tore apart in 2 rounds. All of THIS!

Rodriguez isn't a terrible fighter but he is not as good as Cotto and how Cotto fought that fight was not something he was prepared to handle. That approach is not likely to work as good on a better opponent and it could actually cost Cotto because he has issue fighting at a high tempo for the whole fight.

Because Rodriguez was garbage That was the whole point of this fight. If Rodriguez would had been competitive in the fight it would had meant that Cotto was done at fighting at the higher level. The way he handled this fight shows that he has gas left in the tank and is still able to compete at the highest level
