(video) Is Danny Garcia really this Slow?

Just quick enough.

I'm a big fan of Danny and give him the utmost respect for taking on Lucas next month. Truth is though, I dont see anything that Garcia does that will trouble Lucas. Danny has decent all around skills, average speed, and decent power, but from what I see, he doesnt excel in any one particular area. What is it that you see in Danny that brings you to the conclusion that he will demolish Lucas? That's what I actually like about Danny. He's not the fastest guy, not the smartest guy, not the strongest guy. He's a B in everything which makes him an A fighter. He's a very basic fighter with a pretty good timing. And I think it's better to have a bit of everything in your arsenal rather than just strictly power. I've always said power can be a double edged sword to those who are not disciplined. If you're getting knock outs left and right, your going to strictly rely on power and forget about setting up the knock out. Maybe I'm biased because I'm a Philly guy, but I'm going to have to go with Danny.

Garcia is slow. But his game is timing, not speed.

Just to add an info lucas is wearing 18 oz in that footage working in strenght and resistence not speed.

He's always been average when it comes to speed. He has good power on his left hand and IMO used to be faster a couple of years ago.

Showtime needs to have a special camera focused on Angel Garcia throughout the fight saw the audience can see his reaction when his whiny son gets k.o'd

Garcia's offence is slow and wide But his counterpunching offence (which is what he'll be using against Lucas) is pretty fast and well timed.. Garcia thinks alot about his work.. he is a poor mans Marquez... Lucas will smash a right hand straight into his face while he is 'thinking' his way through the fight...

They look about the same to me and you can't judge by mit work you have to judge by when they fight and when they fight Danny looks a bit faster.
