What did he say that was so wrong? He is 100% Right!
Not sure how is this ducking when GGG people are the ones saying they would do a fight with Ward "LATER" because unlike stupid Boxing Forum Fans they are far more realistic and they understand that just jumping up to 168 without even fighting the best fighters at 160 yet would be fukin stupid
And Golovkin is ducking Kid Chocolate whose currently calling him out.Golovkin beat nobodies but people acting like he beat monsters.
Quillin turned the fight down in the past, he's not calling GGG out he's saying that they could headline a PPV down the road, that's not calling somebody out lol.
I agree. I think it's because Martinez went life and death with him and Golovkin didn't is the point of comparison. Macklin is ordinary and I suspect Sergio wasn't motivated, but he got the job done eventually.
Golovkin demolished him, but he's at a different point in his career to Sergio. If we ever get the Martinez-GGG fight you can't help but think we will get the best possible Sergio, but whether it's enough is up in the air. Dude is close to 40 and diminished physically, probably from fighting a weight class too high.
Motivation or not, Martinez has physically declined, all that wear and tear won't go away just because you're motivated.
I'd like to see that fight but I feel like gg is to small for 68. In his two days segment Sanchez said that he walks around 167-170. My question is can he take the hits from some of these bigger guys
Well he spars with light heavies, cruisers and some heavies, I don't think he'll have much problems moving up.
Why Not? Triple G is indestructible so why not call out Ward for the good catch weight? He's not getting any younger right?
Ill tell you why, because Dre would make his ass fight of that back foot, blunting his power shots, and exposing the leaky ass defense. People act like Rosado wasn't touching him up, and plus Glovkin swells real easy.
Trust me The Glovkin camp don't want no Ward situation now or later, it would mean...
Game Over.
I know you're mad because people are trying to match him against Floyd but try to calm down for a minute and use your brain. GGG hasn't beaten any of the other champs in his weightclass, why fight the #1 guy at 168 before he gets the chance to fight the #1 or #2 guy at 160? Doesn't make sense.
This could be a really big fight in a year or two. As I see it, there's really nobody at 160 that's going to beat Golovkin. As much as I like Martinez, I think he gets sparked out by Golovkin...probably in dominating fashion. He's that good, that strong, very well poised.
But if a fight with him and Ward is to ever happen I'd like to see Golovkin against a couple 168lbers first before jumping into the den with Ward.

Nothing to do with this thread or OP but golovkin put on a boxing clinic against Rosado. He dominated from the opening bell. you should rewatch it maybe.
Ward = the Black Calzaghe
He will hide out at 168 just like Calzaghe. He wont go up to 175 to face Adonis and wont go down to face GGG. I think both smash him.
So just started watching boxing huh?
Golovkin vs Ward would be a big PPV event in a year or so. To sell that fight GGG is going to need to assert himself as the middleweight champ by beating Martinez, or he'd need to move up in weight and establish himself at SMW against a guy like Froch or Kessler. If he does both of those things then he'd be a big set-up for a Ward opponent.
Right now I think GGG has unfinished business at middleweight. Martinez will make his comeback next year and once he does we'll have a better idea of how he can match up against Golovkin in the twilight of his career.
Just to put this out there not everything is ducking ya know?
They said they would fight later at least they acknowledge each other and talk about it and it has a high possibility of happening
The definition of ducking would be what danny Garcia is doing right now. Ya know quiet as a mouse. Talking about rematching Judah after he just beat him handily instead of fighting the guy everyone wants to see him fight that just knocked out a guy who's never been ko'd or beaten like that.
Ps can we stop with all the ggg and Lucas M threads **** there everywhere. It's like mayweather PAC all over again. There are other fighters in the world ya know? Just saying.
Golovkin should not want it right now. He is just finally getting his feet wet at Middleweight and starting to get some big fights. It would make no sense to jump up and fight Ward and start hop-scotching weight classes.
Golovkin does want to though, but his management know he still has work to do where he is at. For now they are putting on the brakes as long as they can line up good opponents. In another year it would make sense for him to move up or down. Not now though.
Pretty much this, I don't know what the rush is with the "he don't want non doe" stuffs, GGG has a real chance to build something big here. He is fresh and he is working his way up. By the time he gets to the bigger names he would generate more money fighting then then not now. His team are more sensible than I thought.
Say a prayer of thanks for every day that passes in which Ward doesn't fight Golovkin. Not only would Andre wreck him, he'd probably mentally break him. Genady will get there soon, but beating Macklin doesn't mean he's ready to jump to the top.
Sounds good, but then I thought about it and can't think of 1 fighter that Ward mentally wrecked. Other than Dawson of course, but that was mostly his own doing. Froch went on to his biggest win, Kessler beat Froch, Abe kept doing his thing. Bika finally won a trinket lol.
Ward has a great future at....
The HBO broadcast team! Does Ward even fight anymore?
I think he's only fought once since 2011 and it was against a severely drained Dawson. At this point he's more a commentator than a fighter. Hopefully he comes back strong whenever he decides to fight again (late Sept?).
wow....
first Ward calls out Mayweather and now he's ducking Golovkin.....
SMH.

Amazing the hype a win over Macklin get's. Ward and Froch would destroy that guy too.
