He setup a similarly aggressive Pacquiao for the same shot at 20:25. I missed that punch the first time around (as I'm sure many did), but it was a great shot that could've been the knockout punch.
There should be no doubt that Marquez' skill takes precedent over luck.
In clip #1 at 20:25, it clearly shows that Manny stepped back (away).
In the KO, Manny stepped on Marquez's foot and consequently Manny couldn't come back and was left there with his face exposed.
The Marquez knockout of Pacquiao was not a lucky punch? When will pac+ards realize this?
Answer: the same day that Hell freezes over.
Pac.tards will always claim it was either a lucky punch or a substance-induced punch. After all, it is okay for them to accuse Marquez of using PEDs with no evidence but it was not okay for Mayweather to do it to Pacquaio because the almighty Pacquaio never failed a drug test. The way Pacquaio fights (always dropping his left hand when he throws his right), it was bound to happen. Never mind that Marquez never failed one either. They will never take off their rose-colored glasses.
it wasn't lucky, Pac walked right into a perfect punch
it's boxing, shit happens
piss drinker isn't a big hitter, so the KO was surprising
but he already put Pac down with a single blow earlier in the fight
can't say the KO shot was lucky
I remember watching a youtube highlight video of Marquez landing that same punch on other opponents as well as Pacquiao. Can't call that a lucky punch. If anyone can find it, it would be awesome.
People think Pacquiao was dominating that whole fight. I don't think so. Pacquiao was landing the more noticeable punches. You know, all the punches that people go "ooohs and ahhhs" for. I've noticed that Marquez was quietly landing body shots in there. Possibly to set up for that head shot later.

stop stalking me flo-mo
:lol1: Haha you're pathetic, you think every person who criticizes Manny is Floyd's fan:lol1: Typical fan-boy thinking. Get lost moron
:lol1: GTFO Marquez said hundres of times before the fight that he need to KO Manny this time, plus we've seen those videos from sparrings where he KD's guys exactly the same. He's one of the best counter punchers at the game plus he knew Pac very well. Manny was dropping his hands lower and lower after every round. He'd KO Manny sooner or later I guarantee you that.

Yeah but this one was a total fluke.
A) No way that punch KOs Pac if Memo isn't "helping" JMM
B) It was a total lucky punch. JMM saw Pac coming in for the kill and just threw a wild haymaker that luckily landed.
C) Pac eats that punch like a skittle 99 times out of 100.
It was like Haley's commet. Better enjoy it while it lasts because The Mexicutioner is BACK NOW AND HE'S COMING FOR RIOS AND THEN JMM :boxing:

Pacquiao's response was luck, out of how many times that JMM landed that same shot over the course of 4 fights (which he always lands on Pac) was the response anywhere near what happened. It was perfectly placed, planned, and very effective against Pac, however, I don't think JMM or Nacho (who is on record stating this) thought they'd ever get Pac out like that.
Pretty sure he knocked him down with the same punch earlier in the fight. Whats that old saying..."Luck is when preparation meets opportunity"? Luck may have been involved, but he did everything he could to put himself in that position. Quit making excuses, Pac didn't.
lucky or not, it was a very vicious powerful punch...
one could be dominating in boxing but a ko or tko could upend it

yes it was. Pac was dominating him the whole fight.

I thought it was Mayweather that knocked Pac out. I clearly remember that Mayweather fans on this board rejoicing for that historic beautifully timed KO.
Can you link us to that video? I saw the one with his sparring partner, and remember him using that same punch in fights 2 and 3, but would be interested in seeing a compilation of his right hand counter.
While I do know it was Marquez's skill that let him capitalize on that mistake by Pacquiao, I believe a bit of luck also happened. Pacquiao went in exactly how Marquez wanted him too, he actually telegraphed his movement from farther than normal and Marquez was in the exact position to create the most leverage. Also at the same time that all of this was going on Pacquiao slipped by stepping on Marquez's foot.
Any guy not named Ward, Mayweather, Marquez, Klitschko, Rigondeaux would not have the skills to do that. But there was still luck. Unless it damaged Pacquiao, I doubt Marquez could get another one punch KO victory of Pacquiao.
I remember watching a youtube highlight of Marquez landing that same exact counter on numerous opponents including previous Pac fights. I can't call that lucky.
