Floyd will be remembered as biggest chicken in boxing history for not fighting Pacquiao. Yes or No?
The only way I see him redeeming himself is a fight with Sergio at 154 or even going up to 160. All I can say is stupid.....Floyd.
Congrats to Marquez!
Mayweather won't be remembered as a chicken but he definitely will not be remembered with the same reverance he enjoys today.
Many years down the line most of his victories will be like who? What? How old was he then?
Legends like Morales, Barrera, JMM, Pacquiao all have much greater legacies doing what some felt was impossible. None of them cared about protecting their stupid 0.
I get why the TS and the others feel the way they do. Outside the ring, Floyd comes off as a braggart, punk, and an azzhole. He's easy to hate. But none of that can change the fact that inside the ring he is ultra talented. But to consistantly claim he ducked Pac is rediculous. From the begining Floyd flat offered take the test, Pac gets 40 million and Floyd gets the rest. Team Mayweather never waivered on this offer and it was Team Pac that passed. Instead Pac got KTFO for less than 1/3 of that. IMO, Floyd would have handled Pac easily. The main tools JMM used to be competitive vs Pac (excellent balance and superior coordination) are things Floyd has an abundance of. Throw in great hand and foot speed and I think Floyd would have beaten Pac at any stage of their careers
That is true. I'd say Pac would have lost to Floyd in less humiliating fashion and for much, much more money.

floyd did duck pacqauio and i dont agree floyd would've done the same koing pac ...floyd does'nt have one punch power that jmm showed last night for some reason..he's not as versatile couter puncher as jmm and is defenitely not a combination puncher like jmm...he would've beat him by points tho

The celebration will be short-lived, but then it will dawn on him and his fans that this is the Pacman he ducked for years and accused of cheating. What is he going to say now? That Pac is no longer on the juice and JMM is?
u guys are hilarious!!!!!!!
not the only reason but it's one of the biggest reason floyd will be remembered... it was a blatant duck, the biggest one in the history of boxing bar none...
"Floyd will never fight Mosley" to "Mosley is ****"
"Floyd only fights little guys and brings them to WW" to "JMM is a beast when he fights Pac"
"Floyd would never challenge Cotto at 154" to "Cotto is/was and always will be **** except when Pac fought him when he was a beast and when he was with TR so Bob could do careful matchmaking to make him look better"
"Corrales going to KO Floyd, too big and powerful" to "Corrales was weight drained"
"Hoya is a beast and too big at 154" to "Floyd didn't KO him so performance sucks and Hoya was too old"
"Ortiz is a young hungry lion with power and speed" to "Ortiz is a quitter"
"Hatton got that mauling, brawling style and foot speed" to "Floyd only won because of Joe Cortez and he would've won at JWW and Hatton sucks"
"Floyd wouldn't rematch Castillo, he scared now and has no balls" to "Well I thought Castillo won the 1st anyway, lets pretend Floyd was 100% for that fight and there was no rematch"
"Marg is a cheating bum" to "Floyd ducked Marg, he was a beast"
"Bob Arum is a snake and a liar" to "Floyd has ducked every single fighter in the TR stable"
"Floyd is going to fight Matthew Hatton"
"Even though JMM just KTFO Pac at WW and Floyd is a WW naturally, nobody but Martinez will do"
"Floyd UD over JMM doesn't count, Floyd was too big and cheated the scales but cos Pac is the same height it is a great matchup"
And on and on and on and on................
As far as I am concerned people already make Floyds mind up for him on here saying he is going to fight this guy or that guy, then he takes on the top 1, 2 or 3 guy in the division that people say he wouldn't have fought and then after they discredit it. They say he won too easy so unless he takes on someone with a legit chance then he is a cherry picker. It is not Floyds fault that he has made everyone look relatively easy. It is not Floyds fault that nobody apart from people fighting in the divisions above him could really challenge him. People think Floyd should fight Martinez and don't realize that Floyd is 36 or 37 and is maxed out at the weight of 152. He can't put on anything more than that. So they say "but Floyd has a 154 title". Yes he does and that is impressive because he has no business at the weight, so to go up and take a title off someone there twice shows his skills not his size. It should be regarded as great wins for a small man going out of his natural division. But it's not, its regarded as an excuse to say Floyd is now ducking all 154 guys and some 160 guys.
Why does everyone who opposes mayweather fraudulent career has to be manny fans ? I'm a fan of neither but I respect manny cuz he fought the best in his time. Floyd stayed away on vacay when the going got tough. He will never be a warrior inside the ring or out.
I just dont understand how or why Floyd fans are celebrating a KO win for JMM. If I was a Floyd fan I would be PISSED that it wasnt Floyd who did it and even more pissed that now this would probably kill any chance of a superfight between the two.
Manny getting KO was one of the worst things for Floyd.
After the debacle with Pac and Floyd, with the Mayweathers line in the sand was that Manny must be on something with the way he was KO'ing people and walking through shots of larger fighters, where he ends up getting ko'd by a fighter as small as him.
Priceless
