I bring you The Machine, Rakhim Chakhkiev!
Everyones a sucker for a vicious bodypuncher, just look at this man & listen to the sweet sound of those thunderous bodyshots. :boxing:
No sound in the world better.
3.15 holy sh1t!
There is a fair few but I agree.
Apart from Matthysse, Mares, Chakhkiev & Bute I am struggling to think of any 'good' bodypunchers today lol
Sure there are many many more but certainly not like there once was.
Lamont Peterson is an underrated bodypuncher actually though he does lack pop.
Dawson & Cotto don't go to the body like they used to :(
Rigondeaux just have to hit you once and it is over...
Cotto, Mares, Rigondeaux.
Cotto used to have one of the nicest lefts to the body, and Mares works the body really well, but he definitely strays low sometimes. Rigo's straight left to the body is sickening when he lands it. IMO Peterson does some work to the body in boxing right now. He might not have the one punch ko power but he wares people down well. Khan and Cayo were probably both pissing blood after their fights with him.
I only watched the first video a couple times, and I'm not sure where's this vicious body work is supposed to be. It looked like the blocked the body punches before the second knockdown.
Hard to see, but I thought he got them in behind the elbow. I'm going off the sound and the way the guy looked when he went down.
cruiserweight is such an odd division
it almost looks like it should be cut in half. a lot of the guys look like club fighters. they don't have the physique of a 12 round boxer in the weight classes, because the 200 lb limit is not hard for them to make. IE they are small. too big for a healthy 175, but too small to weigh 200 lbs when well conditioned.
not saying that about chakiev, but CW in general.
That first video was ridiculous. Looked like he killed the guy with those three hooks. The body shots were vicious.

Forgot about Lucas. The guy is amazing to watch! He reminds me of Ponce De Leon, pretty slow and rigid but when he hits you can see the pain in his opponents faces.
Would have said Cotto a few years back but he seems to have stopped for some reason. Maybe due to him fighting P4P fighters in the last few years and them being much harder to land on? I do live the way he turns the left hook over into the body though.
For a little guy I would say Moreno goes to the body pretty good. Never really head hunts his opponents.
Good shout! Very good bodypuncher & IMO a very underrated boxer.
I always forget about that guy but hes a very solid, well rounded fighter.
I also read an article in Russian that was translated claiming he was working with Boystov & co and targeting a move to the heavyweight division. Focusing on putting on 10lbs of lean mass.
He has some scary tools but I'm not sure about a move to heavyweight being barely 6ft & 210.
Plenty to be done & made in that very deep cruiserweight division
He's 29. He started too damn late.
I believe hes targeting a big step up in Germany for september. He will be world champ by this time next year :boxing:
Would love to see him against Huck, Afolabi & the likes.
Hes got time :)
