P-Will is ready for anything that comes his way people. Newsflash: he's the same P-Will he's always been and always will be. It took him pretty far. All he's doing now is building confidence after being put to sleep by Sergio and beat up by Lara.
He'll always be vulnerable, he'll always be exciting, and he might be stopped again soon. It is what it is.
He's very vulnerable to those right straights or to left shots from southpaws ... He would be knocked out against hard punchers.
^^^ this right here :yeah:
I don't even know how to feel about this fight.
A part of me wants to say PWill fought a beautiful fight, kept up the work rate we expected from him, landed in combinations, steadied his legs ALITTLE more than usual, with the usual concerns (fighting too low for his height, getting caught off balance, etc.)
And then another part of me is mad this s**t even went to decision. He got tagged way too much for my taste, and was fighting against a guy he should've gotten out of there by the 7th or 8th round.
At this point, its either Ishida is better than we thought coming into this fight, or PWill just isn't the fighter we thought he was.
A little bit of both
I don't understand why people aren't giving Ishida credit for sticking in there. He's 36 and took everything Paul had, and dished out plenty of counter rights and lead rights and an occasional lead left. If he had more power in there, Paul would be seeing stars
Paul doesn't look like he's all that big of a puncher at 154
I'd fear for Paul honestly if he fought JCC Jr at 160, real talk. If I was JCC, I'd demand that fight 30 seconds ago.
am I the only 1 that wasn't impressed by PW?
I don't want to discredit him but in part I agree with you. In a previous post I said that PWILL was caught early had it been by a K.O. puncher it was night night again. Kirkland is overrated and that was Ishida's best win. He belongs at 154 but I'm not sold on him being able to turn it around and both Chavez Jr. and Sergio would take him out. He has abetter shot against Canelo.

He still was extremely vulnerable to the same punch he received from Martinez and Lara ... I think that someone with good power would be able to capitalize on that.
wow Williams sound punch drunk, and I like he dodged the Kirkland question.
It's always hard to witness a guy being slowly damaged like this. I remember when I frst saw him fight against Margarito. In the post fight interview he sounded clear and sharp. Now he's starting to slur his words. Tough sport.
