No because Floyd was the draw and biggest name in boxing at the time. Hatton won at 147 and won a title. He made JMM jumped two weight classes without a tuneup fight at 147 and Hatton had a fight at 147 before he fought Floyd.
alot of it had to do with hatton, from 2004-2006 was "not ready" at 140, mayweather wasnt gonna wait forever.
You could make this poll for Pac too, hataz keep hatin
Ricky already won a 147 title before Floyd, dont act like it was his first fight at 147
And you owe me some Cheater Club sigs!
I would have had Hatton losing to Mayweather at 140 but Floyd should fought there as it was the weight Hatton made his name.

Against Collazo?!? Then he moves back to 140 because of his superb performance against Collazo.
Also, Pac fought Hatton @ 140, WW.
Ricky Hatton.
It doesn't matter if the fight took place at 140 or 147 because Ricky is never beating Floyd. It probably did him some good that he didn't have to come down from 190-200 lbs to 140 lbs.
People didn't say Hatton was too small for Floyd at 147. You didn't hear people complain about the fight until after Floyd taxed him and people started complaining.
When was the last time Manny fought a prime fighter? MAB. :lol1:
I think people who think that Hatton was top and prime at WW can very well select #4.
Homie, you were NOT here during that pre-fight build up.
This is retroacive hate right here.
NOBODY thought "oh hatton is too small for welterweight" against floyd, since they were seen as equals, if anything, hatton had to cut less weight which was SUPPOSED to be an advantage.
Hatton was supposed to be the bigger guy.
If Mayweather didint come from 130 youd have a point, but come on.
