Not being racist but is he actually a full mexican? And considering he dont look like your typical mexican fighter does the whole of mexico still get behind him?
theres a lot of white mexicans bro to be exact about 33% of mexicans are considered of the white race, if you even watch the mexican news sometimes you see a bunch of blonde people and ish , and if you go to the big cities you will see mad white people there too, you ar ejust accostumed of seeing brown skinned mexicans since they are usually the ones that imigrate
Not seen much of this guy, but I just looked him up and saw that hes only 19 and had 32 fights, he turned pro at 15. He was KOing some guys at that age too, that makes me want to be a fan... why did he turn pro so early and how was it allowed?
The national/racial aspect of boxing has never bothered me, I guess its not something were supposed to talk about but generally speaking, people dig a fighter who could be their distance cousin
As long as it doesn't result in riots you shouldn't read into it too much, like Check said we don't have teams so every fighter is instead a champion of their culture
I dont know why some people were making a big deal out of this thread, Nothing racist or ignorant the thread, Like i said before i myself have never heard about any red-head latino/mexican before, you learn new things everyday and am glad to know that there are a lot of latinos who have red-hair. It's just difficult to know about it if you are from europe or from the UK especially.
Of course if you live in the UK, or in the Eastern world really, you prolly never seen a Mexican in real life. Like many posters here say, Mexican is a nationality. There are Mexicans who will pass for any race.
I have never seen a mexican before in the UK, First time i met any mexican or anyone from the latino heritage from the americas was when i visit Pheonix arizona for the first time in 2003.
funny how fans of the most diverse sport in the world
anfd it truly is
are the most racist
i never ever ever hear my friends who are big fans of baseball and basketball and football soccer and so on bring up race
yeah, this is fu.cking rediculous. wish they'd give the whole race thing a rest.

whats more hilarious is some of you people jumping on his bandwagon for no reason other than the fact that goldenboy has propped him up to be something.
Or maybe we watch him. Like what we see and want to see more?
I liked him before he signed with GBP. Im sure other posters did too. Whats not to like hes an exciting young prospect.

Red headed mexicans usually have some french in their lineage.....
The thread start is right in a way, If you're from the UK like i am you would have thought Canelo was scottish, I thought canelo was scottish at first and i question his heritage but some of the latino posters on here told me that they have a lot of ginger looking latinos which was a big surprise to me.
