If Manny Pacquiao was fighting Shane Mosley instead of Floyd would you guys still:
1. Be calling Shane Mosley an old man
2. Saying Mosley is 10 years past his prime
Answer me that question honestly...
I dont think so... I think you'd be praising Pacquiao saying, "Manny has balls to fight Shane, a true warrior... this is gonna be a great fight... blah blah blah"
It didnt matter who Floyd chose to fight you guys woulda found something to critisize Floyd about because "most" of you are not boxing fans but Manny Pacquioao fans... How could you as a supposed boxing fan be praying so bad for the downfall of this fight and when it does get signed you stilled discredit Floyd for it... Yeah I'm a big fan of Floyd's but when Pacquiao and Cotto's fight got made last August I was soooo happy and I couldnt wait until it happened, I even praised Manny for taking the fight... Alot of you guys are digusting

I actually think his chance of winning over Mosley is much much greater than winning over Pbf. Just basing on style alone.

Firstly, I'm a Pacquiao Fan, but I'm also happy that Floyd finally signed that fight against Mosley. It's good for boxing.
Secondly, your statement can also be directed to PacHaters, because many of them would love also to say that Pacquiao fought an over-the-hill Barrera and Morales, a 30plus Marquez and a past-his-prime and weigh-drained Dela Hoya.
Mosley is a welterweight champion right now, so no doubt he is a threat to Floyd! That is why I'm happy that Floyd finally fought someone strong and almost equal to him in skills, because I believe (like Roach) that Floyd can win unanimously against Mosley with his style...but not a "KO win!"
You do know there's a difference between style and range. Mosley likes to hit hard and hit often. Which is exactly what Pacquiao would like to do more effectively against Mosley. Just up at a closer range that would make Mosley uncomfortable. as opposed to floyd's style of hoppin on his bike and letting mosley come to him and potshotting.
Both mosley and pac need to be at midrange to be effective, mosley has the superior reach over pacquiao and has a durable and proven chin. Youre post literally makes no sense to me, "there is a difference between style and range" wtf does that mean? Style and range go hand in hand. The style you are using dictates the range you need to be in.
Floyd has more than one style, however his potshotting is extremely effective and difficult to stop. You have no idea how difficult it is to be moving backwards while effectively fighting on your backfoot and anticipating whats coming while still being effective. If others could do it, they would.
Pacquiao is not a good inside fighter and cant fight in a phonebooth, nor can he fight going backwards, pac is effective at setting up his punches by either throwing combinations or setting people up for his right hand. Ive yet to see pac going shoulder to shoulder getting off shortrange punches from the clinch with vigor.
Again, youre post makes very little sense, even in a boxing sense.

Mosley is sure past his prime and sure is fcukin old. I respect him and even more so for still competing with top fighters. Pacquiao has the balls and he is a warrior and tell you the truth I think its going to be a hell of a fight.

so what if some of us criticize Floyd, fcuk Floyd. But you know what Im glad he got the fight with Shane. just coz Pacquiao Fans are talkin shit? so fcukin what.. Floyd Fans will do the same fcukin thing, and you cant change that. There will be shit talkin, discrediting, criticizing and all bullshit but you cant do SHIT ABOUT IT.
i feel you on this, but really tho.. Floyd Fans will shit on Pacquiao as much as Paquiao Fans will shit on Mayweather.

I don't think there's anything wrong with Floyd's strategy because it's his gameplan to win a fight. He may not be the most entertaining fighter to watch. However, his defense is impeccable and he does do whatever it takes to win a fight. Wouldn't you want to figure out a way to have a gameplan to gain the upper hand against your much more powerful opponent? I sure as hell would, especially with my undefeated streak on the line.
TS, maybe you are referring to Mayweather haters. you can be a pacfan and not be a may hater. vice versa. you can even be a fan of both. anyway. im excited to see the fight.
:tool: :D believe me pac wouldnt do that, every boxer is trying to dominate with his own style .. pac aint as stupid as you

noone was claiming floyd/shane would be a ufc fight. You and I both know Mayweather's gameplan against Mosley is very clear and one in which he has a very decisive advantage because Mosley no longer has the footspeed to catch up with floyd when he gets on his bike nor the quickness at this stage of his career to time floyd's potshots properly and counter.
Whereas Pacquiao would attempt to beat Mosley at his own game.

It doesnt matter to me if Floyd sign a contract to fight Shane all I know is that he is the bigest Maricon boxer around... fighting mostly undersized , underweight ,overage challenger....
Kill yourself immedietely......this is "boxing" not bum fights.........you know the sport whose very definition is hit and not get hit.........the sweet science.........you want to see a brawl go to a shitty bar on a sat night.....i'm sure u can find one..........

I still think Floyd took the fight only cause there was no where else for him to go... after the Pac fight didnt happen he was either going to fight some scrub or go back into retirement. Well, at least he signed the deal... it took him long enough. Should be a good fight, either PBF decision or Sugar Shane by TKO.
Agree with this!
I did not see many pacfans calling mosley old or over the hill fighter. What i saw was most pacfanatics bashing floyd for taking too long to sign and seal the fight. If you were looking at oneliner pacfans, thats your fault and many more of those are coming your way. And the other thing here, most pacfans are mosley fans. i can almost tell you that.
And no, i will not call mosley old at all. He gave hell to everybody he have faced in his last 7 or 8 bouts.
No because all you ****tards would be the ones saying those things if the script was flipped.
But one thing to keep in mind is that Pacquiao would actually go in and come to fight Mosley....not try to outbox him.

Very few people, Paq fans or otherwise, are cutting on Floyd for signing on to fight SSM. I am a huge Paq fan, and I am glad to see Floyd fight SSM, I give him props for finally fighting a legitimate welterweight. I would not say for one second that SSM is old or washed up, I think he is top notch. Quit imagining persecution where there is none.

True story.......also i give Pac full credit for clottey...have from day 1.....Clottey is a top class opponent...........
Shane Mosley is a shop-worn, punched ticket and over the hill fighter - Pretty Boy
Based on Floyd Mayweather Jnr' statement,
"What people don't know about the sport of boxing. In a fighter's career, a fighter starts off good and he's good until the end of his career or a fighter starts off good and then goes downhill towards the end of his career. A fighter doesn't start off like Manny Pacqauio, just ordinary, and then once he gets over the age of 25 he becomes extraordinary fighter. It just doesn't work like that in this sport of boxing",
considering that Shane Mosley is 38 years old, it implies that Shane Mosley is a over-the-hill, shop-worn, punched ticket fighter.
Therefore, based on what he said, it can be said that he opted out of the Pacquiao fight because he regards Pacquiao to be "an extraordinary fighter", and instead chose to fight Shane Mosley, a fighter "going downhill at the end of his career".
So, why give Mayweather credit in facing Mosley when he himself discredited his opponent? Based on Mayweather's pronouncements, I beg the question, what glory is there if he beat Mosley?
To me, it's either Mayweather suffers from delusions of grandeur, or discredits Mosley to lay the groundwork to boxing's most expensive staged fight. Was he merely reading from a script?
Is Mayweather-Mosley fight going to be the biggest charade in boxing history? We'll only know when the first bell rings!

I gurantee they would be saying Shane is a tougher fight for Pac than Floyd is. Just go through the threads yesterday. How can you say someone is ducking a fighter because he is scared of them, but when the fight is signed all of a sudden you switch up and say "Ohhhh he's not a challenge anyway he's old" That makes no damn sense.
