I will admit, I don't like Marquez's hate towards Manny or the fact how he disrespected Manny by going to the PI, but Manny himself comes up with excuses in both of their fights, couldn't finish him in their 1st fight because of socks and 2nd fight he was weight drained....so both need to grow up.
1st excuse was for the morales fight, not marquez. Even though i think the gloves made a biggger difference than socks. 2nd fight Pac himself never made any excuses. He just felt that in his mind he'd beaten Marquez twice already so that business was finished. It was neurotic fans that were saying it in retaliation for all the pac haters saying that the only way to explain pac's success is because he only fought weight drained fighters.
And what's the relevance of this post? We are talking about Pac vs Marquez 2 and the excuses Pac stans are making to make Marquez seem like he got lucky, I agree he got lucky that Manny fought him a 2nd time, cause I'm sure Arum and Roach would have preferred to stay FAR AWAY from Marquez, Marquez takes out 2 of the top 3 LWs and KO's them, they keep moving up in weight (honestly don't blame them for taking the DLH fight) but now he loses badly and Roach wants to make the 3rd fight at an even higher weight then the Mayweather fight (while criticizing May's win), look I know there are smart Pac fans that are a fan of the sport 1st and a fan of Manny 2nd, but these Pac tard that favor Manny to BEAT SRR and Trinidad at 147 are just delusional nut-huggers, this isn't an attack on all Pac fans, only the dumb shits that think he is god.
how is it delusional when boxing is about style matchups? A fantasy matchup cannot be proven or disproven.
I happen to think Pac would beat both Leonard and Trinidad at 147 after seein that Cotto fight but would lose to the same Duran that quit against Leonard because Duran wouldnt be frustrated having to chase Pac all over the ring.
As far as my previous post I was just alluding to the fact that while I wouldnt take anything away from Marquez The people crying weightdrained do have a legitimate case. Marquez was lucky to have any fight at all. He was no longer the #1 at 126lbs and couldnt land a big fight to save his life if it werent fo Pac-Barrera2 being delayed. Because of that Pacquiao had the extra year and a half to fill out and perhaps....outstay his welcome at 130lbs the same way Cotto did at 140lbs.
You do know Pac stans aren't going to understand this, because their God has no equal, so the only logical solution is he was weight drained, still its funny, when Manny is in there with weight drained opponents (Morales 2, 3 and DLH) he looks God-like, but when someone makes him look human (Marquez 1 and 2) he was "weight-drained", its ridiculous, this new migration of Pac fans from Pacland have the mental capacity of a vegetable when it comes to boxing, its disgusting.
Regardless of the weight situation people seem to forget that the only reason Marquez even got a shot at the 130 belt at all was because Pacquiao's quest for the 130lb belt was sidelined for a year and a half because of the promotional rights lawsuit between top rank and gbp which prevented Pacquiao's title shot after the 3rd morales fight despite being Barrera's MANDATORY challenger.
Marquez had just recently lost his belt to chris john and had been fighting nobodies turdsak jandaeng and jimrex jaca for vacant belts. and having a hard time getting fights at all.
That lawsuit gave Marquez the break of a lifetime just as he was fading into obscurity because of his boring style.
If it wasnt for that promotional lawsuit he would have had that dominating pac-barrera2 win, got the belt over and done with, and moved up to lightweight a year and a half earlier than he actually did.
i dont think he was weight drained, i do however believe that that's not pac's prime, and not best weight class for him to be in. 140 pac of today will whoop on prime marquez.
this is how i see this...
every post pacquiao win...
pac haters: "he was weight drained, he's old, he always sucked, he didnt follow the game plan.. etc etc"
so the pac nuthuggers are just like
"you know what we're gonna say that pac was weight drained against JMM II since thats the one fight you haters keep mentioning, even though it was actually a really close fight, pac scored the only KD and 2 judges and ledderman thought pac won..."
this is why i voted yes myself.
Both. A little drained but a combination of both. Put it this way -- I would love to see a Pacquiao-Marquez fight at 140+.you would like to see the 36 year old past prime legend against the prime strong 30 year old #1 fighter at jr welter weight?
:wtf1:
btw, struggling to make weight and being weight drained can be 2 different things.
well according to some people here, jmm beat pac twice, would beat him again at any weight, was robbed against chris john, defeated prime barrera, prime casamayor, KOd the hof'er juan diaz, and would have beat pbf had they fought at jmm's best weight... how's that for a resume?
Yes, and according to people like you Pac beat legendary champions like Ledwaba, Velasquez and undefeated monsters like Emmanuel Lucero and Jorge Solis, HOFers like David Diaz and 3K. Healthy, prime fighters like Oscar, Morales, Barrera II (as well as the best version of Barrera ever in their first fight who looked as sharp as a tack) and defensive geniuses who were also still in their prime like Hatton and Cotto who were looking better than ever, neither of whom had been brutally beaten and knocked out only a couple of fights before Pac.
Of course he also never got knocked out twice, beaten by an shot dude and would have destroyed Agapito Sanchez if they let the fight go on.
:dunce:

Because based on your given poll choices you just want us to say that it's because of JMM's skills.
Why do you have to say he's weight drained, Pacquiao struggled a bit to make the weight but he is not weight drained.
And yes, JMM is a very skilled boxer... too bad he kinda always kiss the canvas.
He didn't struggle at all. He made weight first time on the scales. Being weight drained also makes you fight sluggish, lose stamina very quickly, punch weaker, slower etc etc. Pacquiao looked better that night than any other previously. Marquez fought very well too, so it was a close fight.
He fought as hard in the championship rounds as he did in the first few rounds. That is not what someone does when they're weight drained.
Anyway, he made weight fine, fought better than ever but fought someone who was as good as him and made him struggle but because he has gone on to beat Hatton and Cotto while Marquez got beat by Mayweather people suddenly think he had to be weight drained? Give me a break. If he was so weight drained the second time, why didn't he do any better the first time around, apart from the first round?
If they fought today at any weight Pac would win convincingly, not because he's gotten so much better but because Marquez has gotten worse. He's much older, slower, easier to hit and getting too small for the weight divisions he is fighting in. Pac is still at his peak and Marquez has now well and truly passed his.
Marquez would always give Pac problems exactly the same way every single time they fought. They are both 50/50 and this weight drained BS is exactly that. BS! He just fought someone who didn't walk in and use his face as his defense and who was faster than molasses dripping off a spoon.
something like this:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v511/ummid/eng_mexico_drugs_1__607637g.jpghahaha, good idea but i will pass. that is soo corny. this reminds me of the other day a foreing friend invited me over for dinner, when i got there i asked "whats for dinner?" they said "puppies" i said "fuck that ill pass" some times you just have to pass on corny paints and corny/disgusting food.
weight drained is bullshit..the first fight was a draw was he drained then??the fight was close because it was between 2 prime atg fighters...jmm is pacmans frazier..they can fight 100 times and imo it will always be close...jmm is tough and you aint gonna ko him and since pacman is a come foward aggresive fighter jmm counter punching style will always be effective
Ok freddy... haha
you know who is the most vested in pacquiao winning next to pac nuthuggers?
marquez fans.
the only time people talk about juan manuel marquez is when people are talking about manny pacquiao.
true story.
last hero? you do know how mexico, usa, and europe is the strong hold of boxing right? there will always be a mexican hero. you never see mexican fans trip when a fighter looses because they come and leave by the year. flips are shit scared of pacquiao loosing...i wonder why? :scared:
they will all go back to rooting for black guys in the nba once pacquiao retires.
anyone who watches the nba is rooting for a black guy. :lol1:
oh sh1t! no, you didn't just sully the name of mexico's last hero...
bahahaha! thats true, marquez is all those mexicans got left. i know mexico, usa, and europe is the strong hold of boxing and there will always be a mexican hero but the fact cant be denied that marquez is their last hope. marquez reminds me of pacquiao in that pacquiao is the flips last hero too. flips are shit scared of pacquiao loosing...i wonder why? :scared:

oh sh1t! no, you didn't just sully the name of mexico's last hero...
is jmm even in mexico's top 10?
barrera and morales was loved by mexican and mexican americans.
marquez was just some guy they rooted for occassionally.
Both.
Most people agree Marquez get's killed at 140+, so it does have something to do with the weight.
But...
It's also Marquez's skills that kept him competitive with Pacquaio when no one else could at the time.
