the one that beat lewdwaba and the pacquiao before morales 1, little dude didn't give a damn and literally keeps raping opponents throwing those left hand bombs the entire fight. If he isn't hitting you with that left, he's flurrying the **** out you till you open up so he can check jab + unload that left KO. Watching some of his older fights, he literally has shit for defense but i guess what makes him unhittable on most occasion is his overly aggressive style.. little man just overwhelms the hell of his opponents with flurries and straight lefts relentlessly. His old style was more exciting to watch IMO.
I don't think Pac's heart was completely into the destruction of Cotto in the championship rounds. He was more noncommittal than usual in the ring 10th round onward.. I think its because he didn't relish completely destroying Cotto, amongst other factors..
Though, he did hit Cotto with a devastating body shot in the 9th.
well, like Roach said at the end of Rd11 "You're being too nice Manny!, knock this SOaB for me!" and I think in his mind he said "yes m-a-s-t-e-r".
The old Pacquiao was exciting but his defense? "an accident waiting to happen"
Like when he was winning rounds 1 and 2 fighting Rustico Torrecampo... then BAM! on round 3, it was over with a hard right punch on the face.
Pacquiao went down with eyes crossed... cocky lil' Pac he was.
LMFAO!!!! oh shit...my badd...i think i know who this is now :D
LOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLL ! I could not believe pareng Mak fell for that one.
He was ready to pounce on Burmer like cheetah on gazelle.
he wasn't smart in the latter part of the Cotto fight---he didn't even cut the ring off. He just followed a retreating, beat-up Cotto who until the KO was jabbing Pacquiao easily at the head. I hope he doesn't do that to Mayweather.

I don't..I like this new Pac better. He's a smarter fighter now.

did he really say that to erik? what else did he say? so thats probably the reasons why erik dont like barrera.
erik and marco was pure hatred.
it was beautiful.
Those old fights show Manny as a fighter, but since then, he has become more of a complete boxer. The combination of the 2 makes him extremely dangerous. He was able to exchange with these little guys but there is no way he could do that now with WWs. Roach did a great job working on his game.
miguel cotto and ricky hatton disagrees.
no he didnt. Everyone knew Pac was only a one hand fighter. I use to love JMM & Pac and I remember losing respect for both of them after there 1st fight. I thought Pac looked like an idiot throwing the same one punch all night long and JMM was an even bigger idiot for managing to get hit with it all night long when he's supposed to be a brilliant techniqal fighter. Seriously though, everyone knows that Pac only had one hand.
Edit- I just read your whole post. So at what time was he throwing all the hooks? Thats strange if your right that he was throwing alot of hooks before Roach came but Roach took it away until he developed more. If thats true then props to Roach but I always remember him being a one hand fighter
no he's right, Roach cleaned his punching up a lot. by doing so Manny didn't have much pop in his right hand as he threw it like a jab. gradually he worked on getting the movement down now it's got tons of pop.
the weird thing is he was always a heavy handed fighter, even at 106.
He kept gaining power as he moved up, but it looks like it peaked at 140. although is hard to say because Cotto is a lot tougher than Hatton and Manny still put him on queer street many times and knocked him down 2 times.
I remember at FW though, just counting on him knocking somebody down.

I definitely prefer the new version of Pacquiao because he's more calm in the ring, If you attack him in the ring too quick or bumrush him then you can bring out the old habit in him but like Hatton found out that could be murder if you do that to pac.
i remember hoping that pac would smash barrera in two because i hated him so much. ill never forget, i was watching that fight talkin to a woman who had the biggest breasts i ever dated, and i got OFF the phone once i saw pac was doing a job on him. natrually i called her back, but man was i happy.
barrera hater. :twak:
well i didn't know him.
it was an accident that i saw him.
i bought the ppv for the oscar delahoya-javier castillejo fight.
the next time i saw him was on hbo. he was on a mayweather undercard and then the undercard of tyson-lewis.
some of his fights even after ledwaba wasn't shown here though.
i thought he was good but nothing special. tbh i though barrera was gonna whoop him. i was just hoping that he would be competitive and go back down to 122.

my lolo was an unbeliever of pac.
my dad didn't believe in him at first.
he use to say , "he's good but flash elorde is WAY BETTER."
he doesn't say that any more. :lol1:
Have you seen his first fight in Japan? he brutalized that japanese like what he did to hatton. :D
this one?
pac was soooooooo sloppy back then. :lol1:
