Riddick Bowe finished his career with a record of 43-1 with two wins over a prime Evander Holyfield as well as a few other good wins. Although his lack of dedication in the end, cost him his world class status, Bowe still had a great career and deserves to be compared with the great heavyweights of all time.
In your opinion, where does Riddick Bowe rank among the ATG heavyweights?

Man this is a tough question to answer for me. I think Bowe had the greatest skill set of any heavyweight in history. I think his prime was cut short by his laziness. When he was prime there was nothing prettier to watch for my money.
So, skill level top ten. Accomplishments would be somewhere around 25 I guess.

are you kidding me? the only good heavyweight he beat was holyfield who was much smaller than him. bowe avoided guys that could punch like the plague
Do you rate Ken Norton ahead of him?
I think Norton should be ranked ahead based on who he beat, he beat top guys like Ali, Quarry and Young. Some good fighters like Cobb and maybe Bobick, although the guy accomplished much more as an amateur. Gave Holmes a very tough fight and ran him very close.
IMO he didnt accomplish enough to be considered a top 25 ATG.. its a shame though. ive seen quite a few of his fights and he had true potential.
and one of the most badass nicknames ever "Big Daddy" :D
No idea who I rank higher but take no notice of Boxrec's rankings... they are a disgraceful computer points based system.
See I actually like the boxrec rankings in terms of the retired fighters.
I agree for current fighters it's a little dicey, but for retired fighters I think it's pretty acurate. If you look at their retired fighters HW rankings, it goes Ali, Louis, and Jack Johnson. That's pretty accurate.
Riddick Bowe beat a prime Holyfield like no one else did. And Holyfield faught everyone!
Riddick Bowe is very underratted. Perfect jab and a great right hand. In hes prime he could have beaten everyone.
And about the Lewis thing: Bowe signed to fight Lewis in March 1995. But as Lewis lost to McCall, the fight got canselled. If anyone question hes heart watch the golota fights!
Who do you rank higher, Riddick Bowe or Ken Norton?
Norton according to the rankings is around 25th best all time. So if you think Bowe was better, than he should be top 25.

In terms of skill? Yes... he was very good. In terms of accomplishments? No. Absolutely not.
