That was all Mayweather. Everyone was saying that if the fight bombs it was Mayweather's fault because Marquez is not a draw and Mayweather was the only name opponent in the fight, everyone was praying for bad PPV numbers. So now that the fight was successful, it was Marquez/Mexican independence day who made it successful. Where were these fans in the Marquez-Pacquiao PPV, only 400k showed up? weird right? fights under welterweight never get attention from the mainstream in america. just a fact. pac-jmm 2 was the best selling ppv fight ever 135 and under. (before that it was pac-morales 1/2/3) pac-hatton was the best selling ppv fight ever at 140 and under. (replacing pac-jmm 2 as the best selling 140 and under fight)
