What if Mosley loses to Berto?

At 37 and a year inactive, Mosley could be rusty and looking past Berto with Pacquiao/Cotto/Mayweather fights in his future. Just the type of fight that a young, hungry, fast, and talented young fighter likes. If Mosley lost to Berto, the WW division would have a new man. Berto would be the man that beat the man that beat the man. But I have some questions about what would happen if Berto upsets Mosley. Does Andre Berto immediately come into the picture for mega fights? yes, but he gets less oney Does Mosley retire? i say yes, but that's because i have a low opinion of berto Does he immediately become a P4P fighter? probably bottom 5-10. Can Mosley still get big fights? he can still fight the loser of cotto/pac and margo when he returns.

I suggest you watch that fight again. Collazo won that fight, Berto was almost ready to go at the end of the fight. I've watched it a couple of times. I agree that Collazo has a case for winning the fight, but I thought Berto fought like a champion and defended his title.

His biggest name defeated would probably be Collazo, a fighter that has only lost to Mosley, and a quite prime Hatton in recent years. He had one other loss i don't remember, but it was a while ago, like back in 2000 or something. The next biggest name would probably be Urango, another guy that lost to a prime hatton and no one else until Berto. But I don't just look at just that, Berto is a young kid. Practically still a prospect, albeit a high end one. That's the same as asking me who Dirrell beat or something. I look at sheer physicality and talent, and effectiveness of his best shots. If one looks at the highlights of his highlights, I don't know how anyone that knows about, or has laced up to box, couldn't be impressed by his dynamic style.

thats a good question. he would be the man that beat the man but he still wouldnt be the best fighter at welter. there would be at least 3 other fighters better than him in the division.

Mosley looked fantastic against Margarito..I tend to lean his way as well. But I think it will be a good fight.
