JT is legit and it wouldn't surprise me he wins the tournament (I'm not saying he will..but I can see it happening). The problem is, and will always be JT's inability to dominate fights when he gets into deep waters. JT's stamina and his lack of "ring smarts" seems to be his major problems. JTs only hope is to take his Abraham out early, otherwise were going to see another brutal KO similar to the Pavlik fight.
i couldnt agree with you moore, he has to win via a early KO..... but that will be difficult as AAs Guard is rediculously hard to break!!!! Lets hope he can KO him!!!!
i wouldnt count JT out yet.. I think if he doesnt get gassed out hes in with a very good chance in taking this fight home, plus this is AAs first time fighting at super middleweight... How do you guys think he will adjust to moving up? Alot of people are counting JT out..... but you never know. JT has accomplished a lot in boxing all he needs now is to accomplish a comeback & what a way to do it by beating AA :)

who has he shown ALL those qualities against?!?.....in case you didnt know.....it was Mickey Mouse, Spongebob, Bozo, Homie, and Ronald McDonald......a bunch or cartoon characters and clowns!!!.....AA hasn't fought noone!!
I never even heard of the guy before i saw him get his jaw busted in a fight and still win it, if i remember correctly, and he won his fight after that. He looks like a very capable fighter, and I've seen a few of Taylors fights, and he just seems to have lost his edge, unfortunatly. Again, just my opinion. But I've seen enough to bet on him to win.
in fact as i said before, in my area, hbo and showtime have seem to have had a "boxing blackout", and I have seen very few fights for a while. Now they are both showing fights that have happened in the last couple years during the week. Sometimes a live championship fight on fri. night.
They said they will be telivising the super six. Some of these guys i never even heard of, so I'll probably only be betting on the Taylor fight.

Good post, and i hope your right...I would love to see him start winning again. but i still don't think he's ready for AA. just my 2¢.
As one of AA's biggest fans, I have to say that it would be a huge upset if he somehow manages to win against JT. JT is the clear favorite in this. The only chance AA has is to KO him or to win some rounds with a 2 point advantage. I don't think the last will happen though, because if AA connects flush on JT, he won't come back - AA is a hell of a finisher. BUT: If JT has the right game plan and uses his skills and his reach advantage, he's all wrong for AA and thus I've him as the favorite.
Part of the reason is because he fights too nervously, and that he never really stayed in shape in between fights; too much junk food and drinking. Not on Hatton's level, but still too much.
When you watch him fight he does a lot of wasted motion by twitching, rocking his upper body, etc. I also don't think he trusts his finishing abilities, as he's not as agressive as he used to be.
He's always faded late. It's especially bad because he's always carried his left low, and when he gets tired it beomes more noticiable that he can't bring it up in time to block shots. He gets KO'd when he fades.
But now he has promised to do a complete 180 and changed everything in his camp. I want to buy into it, but I've been let down too much. I'll still support him to the absolute end though.

Yeah, actually, i like Taylor more, and wish i had faith he could win it, he seems to have what it takes, but for some reason...it's like something's holding him back... i can't figure it out. A shame too. I really like his style. Very slick and graceful and rythmic.
Maybe that's it. His opponents time his rythym, and take advantage of it. Just a theory.

Taylor with his natural ability could be such a better fighter than he is, he proves that you cant neglect ring smarts.

Hey Vic, i pm'd you with my offer...you wanna back up your faith with your points? You say he'll beat the whole division...i say he can't even get past AA. Again, 140k On AA beating Taylor.

Agree on the KO power and chin.
IMO Tayor can outpoint him from the outside when he's locked behind his turtle defense, and Taylor has the better movement.
I think Taylor takes it.
Abraham's style allows Taylor to take his time and still win the rounds. He doesn't apply the same constant pressure and fast pace as Froch/Pavlik. And furthermore Abraham’s power hasn't been tested against a well adapted smw before.
There is a considerable size/reach difference in Taylors favor, and Taylor has the technique to exploit that.
Agreed
Jermain's fought the better competition.
Im rooting for him to win the whole thing.
You wanna put your 140k on it, Vic? Not the whole series, just this...
(i got AA over Taylor for your 140k)
I'm not sure about the 2nd one. I think the scores were kind of wide. He admitted that he fought cautiously the 2nd time and wished that he had been more aggressive.
I stand corrected, the scores were 115-113, 116-112, 117-111. So if Jermain had won the last two, it would've been a majority draw.
The 117-111 score was a bit off though.

You're suppose to look good against level C or D- competition. Abraham's resume compared to Taylor's is ass blood. Taylor over AA by UD.
So Abraham is unbeatable, or at least in this case? :lol1:
I'm gonna be on the edge all night for the fight and I really, really want JT to win, but I see Abe taking a SD. There will be a lot of hard rounds to score.
I also don't agree with the good movement. I'm not saying it's bad, but I haven't seen anything like constant lateral movement, in and out, etc. with good speed.
