In 20 or more years from now, who will be more regarded in terms of
achievements & legacy
i won't make a poll, just state your boxer & reason why you pick him
in terms of overall skill, accomplishments in the short amount of time they achieved it in, dominance in weight classes and record, there's only one answer that comes to mind---floyd mayweather jr....hate all you want---nobody has accomplished more in as fast of pace as floyd and remained unbeaten....floyd takes top spot and he is still going strong...
the 4 Kings, Mayweather, Jones and Hopkins
Those are 3. I think Mayweather because skillwise he's just one of the best ever and boxing should be about skills first and showmanship/marketability/likability second.
Roy Jones, PBF, Bernard Hopkins all pound for pound greats. Everyone might disagree because they were all hated on because there skills were so good that tough fights never really happened against them. They made a lot of fights look easy and they dominated mexican, blacks, puerto ricans and pinoys if they stepped in the ring. I really love pernell whitaker but I THINK he belongs in the age of the Mayweathers and Leonard and Buddy McGirts and also Chavez.
You only like black fighters, we get it!
pac will definitly be remembered
the 4 linear titles will gonna help him 20 years from now
announcer: so "Boxer A" already got 3 linear titles, 1 more and he will get a tie with the PACMAN!
The thread is asking about the most decorated.
Oscar De La Hoya
Olympic Gold Medalist
9 time World Champion in 6 different divisions
Hands down. Wasn't the best fighter of our time obviously, but certainly the most decorated
jones by far, i think everyone would agree that if he would of walked away from the game after he beat ruiz him and ray robinson would have been considered the best of all time. belts from middleweight to heavyweight and up until the ruiz fight never even close to losing a fight, and maybe because im a big guy i dont really consider all of these jr divisons and catch weights as counting
what about sugar ray?
uh, 70's and 80's? we arent talking the last 30 years now are we? all Leonard did since I've been an adult is get his ass kicked by Camacho. maybe you meant Mosley? or Olivera?
1 Hopkins
2 Holyfield (can be considered a diff era)
3 RJJ
4 DLH
5 Mosley
these guys are shoo-ins
still creating a serious legacy,
1 PBF
2 Pac
3 JMM
4 Wlad

DLH & Roy Jones prob takes this, maybe Oscar a nodge IMO
a good fighter with great marketing persona
oscar and hopkins, hopkins is still going strong, if hes like this at 50, hed be #1 all time in my opinion, floyd is the most overated because we are in the U.S, mayweather is only put in this conversation by idiots
If were looking at strictly in the ring skills, we wont see another roy jones for a long time. Whitaker & Floyd honorable mention.
Accomplishment wise i think even right now pac's got this. If he picks up his 7th world title in 7th weight class vs Cotto he's a shoe in. Couple this with his outside the ring story and it's a no contest.
Most decorated? DLH's 9 major world titles in 6 divisions is hard to beat.

Jones, Middleweight to Heavyweight= Good Game
Victories over Hopkins and Toney in the prime!!!
Only man to every beat hopkins by a visable margin.
Did magic tricks in the ring that you will never see again.
