If Floyd loses to JMM, he should try to get a fight with Margarito in Tijuana and show that black fighters own the Mexican fighters. I'm sure Telemundo would pick it up.
I think it's going to be over for Mayweather. His ego will be demolished. Or he will try and go straight for Pacquiao before JMM can get to him to show that he can take out the P4P greatest fighter. How will he do this even though he lost to JMM? Well it's ego, giving Pacquiao the bigger portion of the winnings will possibly catch Manny's attention, even though Floyd is usually looking for that Money. Floyd's ego + 1 loss = less of the winnings, I doubt he will care at this point.
But this is also my personal opinion.
Depends how he looks in defeat. I wouldnt want him to retire but im not sure his ego could take the embarrassment of losing to a smaller guy like Marquez at WW. Kinda like when Naz lost to Barrera but worse.
DEFINATLEY NOT!
The best thing that could possibly happen to Mayweather (in my opinion) is to get beaten. I don't give a **** about an unbeaten record, i guarantee you he will be ten times the fighter he is now if he lost a fight and came back. He would go on an absolute rampage and show us his real offensive skills due to not caring anymore about an unbeaten record. It should hopefully make him more acceptable as a person too because the loss would humble him.
It's one thing to go through your career undefeated, it's another thing to have the courage and heart to come back from a loss and beat the man that beat you.
Yeah, totally agree. It might do more good then harm to him if he losses.
No, he should try for a rematch if it was close
If not; maybe a rematch won't be immediately viable, so he should build himself back up through other means
Losing to Marquez is nothing to be ashamed of, it's not like losing to a Jennings or Alfonso Gomez or something

Marquez WONT win. He's to slow for Floyd and not strong enough...he got heart, but that's about it!
This kind of stuff is funny, I weigh over 150 and if JMM hit me flush a few times I think I might quit; people act like a smaller guy can't hurt someone who weighs 15 pounds more than them- a cheek bone is a cheek bone and a nose is a nose, not covered by any muscle or skin.
He should not stop fighting no matter the outcome. Fighters retiring after a loss or two is crap. We need more old school fighters. A loss is a loss not the end of the world. What if Louis, Ali or Leonard would have retired after their first loss? As long as a fighter has anything to give and want to be doing it they should keep doing it.
Depends, if he get blown out..which I find unlikely then yes, but if its competitive then he should continue, it would just show that being away from the game took its toll..but it dont mean he wont be able to come back and whoop everyone's @ss at 147.
Of course not. The only way Marquez wins this is by racist robbery, and that's no reason to retire.
VC gave that boy a face full of nuts, Also ridiculous post.

Great, you outdid your "the only person that can beat Paul Williams is Floyd and the only person that can beat Floyd is Paul Williams" post of a few minutes ago.
