JMM p4p #2 and Margarito is still a top 4 WW. why is that so confusing to you? JMM isn't as much a mismatch as you think. its a fair fight. Margarito is not a top 4 welterweight. A year layoff, taking the beating of a lifetime, and suspicion of cheating his entire career moves him to the bottom half of the top 10. By the time he returns, Berto will even be better than him.

Go back in time. In two senses, 1) go back in time to have 100+ fights and fight everyone relevant 3-5 times 2) go back to 2003-2005 and fight relevant competition during his physical prime, instead of fighters who barely had business being in the ring with him like he did (basically anyone between Castillo and Judah). Mind, I am not saying he ducked anyone, but his physical peak went wasted.
