C’mon, if Mayweather has the skills he professes to have, he should’ve dominated a club fighter like Hatton. This is one of ths stupidest things ive read in my life. So because Pac ko'd Hatton in 2 rounds, and because it took Floyd 10, that makes Pac a greater fighter than Floyd? WTF??????????????????????????????????????? So these so called boxing historians must have forgotten how hard it is for fighters to come back from a knockout defeat. Floyd inflicted Hatton his first loss and first KO. If Floyd beat Hatton by decision, then there could be an argument, but Floyd TKO'd him! These writers are so negetive towards Floyd, no wonder he says he doesnt read shit thats written about him. I mean the reason Michael Rosenthal gave for Floyd being 2nd to Manny was that Manny fought the best fighters, in reference to Oscar and Hatton. Then i ask myself, what was a harder fight Pac vs Oscar at 147 where Oscar looked like someone close to his death bed, or Oscar-Mayweather at 154? People shouldnt forget, Floyd already beat Oscar and ko'd Hatton before Pac did. And this ent a hate thread on Pac, because the guys one of my favourite fighters and i root for him in all his fights. Ive been a fan ever since the Morales fight, so dont think im hating.

It took manny 3 fights with Morales, 2 fights with MAB, and 2 fights with JMM. And til this day, 2 fights later, he still hasn't prove that he is better than JMM. That right there makes him fighter of the decade. Floyd has been remotely close to losing to none of these champs. also that is another thing to look at Floyd as fought more champions than them and alwasy look great. The guy in the article said there is no room for perfection in boxing.....this is simply a haters comment. the author is basically saying "floyd is just too good to be fighter of the decade!" Floyd takes the easy way out. Skills mean nothing unless you compete against the best. So stop it. I gave floyd props for 00-02. That's all he get cuz he cherry picks. The writer quoted someone that said "no one wants a perfect fighter". He didn't say that. Read the article. If floyd was the fighter of the decade it would be sad, cuz all he does is make excuses and not make the fights we want to see as fans. Since 2004, Manny Pacquiao has fought 13 fights, Mayweather has eight. Since 2007, Manny has 6 fights, Mayweather has 2. This is about proving yourself over a decade. Mayweather has been a part time fighter for 3 years, Manny has been taking on all challenges and staying active. Its not just The Ring, you're going to find this in most boxing media. You guys will make it out to be some sort of anti Floyd conspiracy and make Floyd out to be Boxing's biggest victim. Pacquiao is this generation's best. Im not gonna defend the writer's argument....but i believe the basic message he was tryin to get across is that if Mayweather really had the kind of talent he says he does....then he should have been able to make it look easy. Manny has been able to make it look easy. Y'all can shit on the fights he's had with Marquez all you want but watch floyd barely get away with a split decision against him too.

Why is Pacquiao always considered to be skill-less compared to Mayweather. He's not as smooth but surely people can see his incredible timing and the fact that he's extremely hard to land flush on due to his constant weaving like a mongoose. You can't become the p4p best fighter in the world by just being fast and hitting hard. Mayweather may have better defensive skill, but Pacquiaos offensive capabilities surpass Mayweathers by a fair margin, he has more experience attacking opponents, his timing is better when coming forward as is his feinting. His counter punching is getting better as well, maybe not quite as good yet since it's generally with only one punch (his right hook) but it's an effective one. Name one fighter Pacquiao has faced that he has never been able to land punches on. He always can. If you run it just gives him room to attack, if you attack him he's shown some vulnerability in his career early on against ATG fw's like Morales, but he's improved that aspect as well, Ricky Hatton, and to a lesser extent David Diaz. Although I think Morales was a lot better than those 2 guys. pacman is not skilless....he got some skills, but he not that hard to hit at all. and his timing is not better. it'seasy to hit a target when the all the fighters you have fought have similar styles. he has never fought a true slick boxer. Some may say he even avoided those kind of fighters. pacman is good, but he is not better. Even his offensive prowess is limited to hooks, leads, and jabs to the face. every punch in boxing Floyd can throw: hooks, leads, jabs to face and body. he even throws lead hooks with both hands. Many don't do that.

Name one fighter Pacquiao has faced with defense like Mayweathers Maybe its just me but i still see a lot of the same flaws from back in the Morales days. In the second round of the May 2nd bout; Hatton started landing some shots that pressured him. When he gets hit or pressured he starts to brawl. Starts to throw punches in bunches and this is when he leaves himself open for an effective counter puncher. To this day, a Marquez rematch would still give him plenty of problems and not because I'm biased. I actually like him because he is entertaining to watch but he still does the same things. Granted, he has improved somewhat as he does seem to feint a little more but its not a whole lot. If a counter puncher of Marquez's ability can give Manny that much trouble, what can Mayweather do with his defense and counter punching ability? We'll see what story they write up if this fight ever takes place...and I'm hoping it does. The whole damn world want to see it happen.

This villain talk is garbage. Wasn't Duran a villain in his lightweight hayday? Didn't he insult people & get under their skin? Did he not win fighter of the decade? F*ck outta here for people who think that. If Floyd fought the best he'd have a better case plain & simple. If your basing it on undefeated record why not Joe Calzaghe be fighter of the decade??? Bottom line, there's a lot more to being fighter of the decade than just skills & record. If we can't measure one's greatness vs. the best competition out there, there is no telling how great that person is. Unfortunately Floyds left too many questions. Pac has left no questions. Floyd plays off defense and lets the fight come to him...Pacquiao presses the fight....its easy to see hatton get KOd that fast by pac thats the type of fighter he is..throws a lot....Floyd is a much much better skilled boxer...So are we saying that zab judah and DLH are better boxers then hatton because they went 12 with floyd??? or that Luis Collazo is better the then Kostya Tszyu because he went 12 with ricky??? OR Erik Morales is better the JMM because he beat pac man once and JMM couldnt....**** outta here with that bullshit.... I would hope 100% we are saying that.
