You're assuming Chambers has a bad chin and Povetkin hits hard, which are neither true. Chambers got hit by Peter with sold right hands and he didn't go into a shell.
okay, your a bit off on a couple points. Povetkin does carry power, but Chambers does have a good chin, I've never seen him buzzed to be honest, but he also doesn't get hit too cleanly that often. However, he got hit with one real right hand by Peter, whose power is overrated as well, because of his poor technigue actually robs him of a majority of it. And Chambers was in a shell for almost the entire fight with Peter for no reason.
Surprised at the Dimitrenko by KO votes. I think Chambers has the tightest defense in the division. If he came in in better shape, I think he could win, but as it is, I see him fading down the stretch again with Sasha squeeking out a decision.
I'll go with Dimitrenko because he doesn't withdraw into a shell and stop throwing punches after his opponent hits him a few times.
:baby:

Chambers hasn't really fought anyone with the height AND punch output of Dimitrenko. Sascha has long arms as one poster suggested, but what that poster fails to realize is that Dimitrenko throws combinations from a distance well with those arms and unlike many guys that are so long, Dimitrenko can fight on the insdie almost better than on the outside. What really sets him apart from the other young heavyweights is his bodywork, power, workrate, and unlike Povetkin, a sturdy chin. Chambers will have success in this fight, he always does and always will, but in the end it will be Dimitrenko by decision. Too busy and too strong down the stretch for a lot of guys period, let alone Chambers.
I didn't understand the contract that much, but Haye only has to fight Klitschko again if he wins. So if Wlad beats Haye he will fight Povetkin in September, am I right?correct. Haye won't have to fight any other Klitschko unless he wins. However, they hold the promotional rights to his next 3 fights (including this one with Wlad) win or lose.
But what did Povetkin do in 17 fights to make people hold him in such high regards? If he was the champion then that statement makes sense. But Povetkin doesn't have a belt and is just another contender just like Chambers or Dimitrenko with Just a little higher ranking.
So this big 3 fight deal that Klitschko made Haye sign, doesn't look like Povetkin is gonna get his shot anytime soon. So why not make make the contenders fight each other? WBO has Dimitrenko number 1 and IBF has Povetkin number 1. If Klitschko is tied up at the moment, it only makes sense if the 2 mandatories fight each other to see who fights for the title.
That way we don't have to sit thru Klitschko beating Haye, Arreola, Povetkin and Dimitrenko.

A very tough fight for Chambers because of the obvious height disadvantage. I still predict he would win because I'm bias.
This is one of those David vs Goliath matchups, as a matter fact Chambers will always be David against any heavyweight.

If Wladimir wins, there will be only one fight with Haye, and there's an 80-90% chance of that happening.
So Wlad will likely face Povetkin in September.
But I agree, I would like to see fights like Arreola-Dimitrenko, Chambers-Dimitrenko or Povetkin-Arreola.
What did Dimitrenko do to deserve a shot at Povetkin?

Chambers would give the Ukranian a boxing lesson. Taking out a shopworn fighter in Krasniqi doesn't prove anything.
I think so too in some ways, and I think Dimitrenko has more proving to do before calling out Povetkin. Povetkin has fought only 17 fights and has beaten the better competition in Chambers, Byrd, and Estrada. What did Dimitrenko do to deserve a shot at Povetkin?
What are Dimitrenko's keys to victory against Chambers? Constant pressure and his long jabs? And what are Chambers Keys to victory? His defense and movement trying to avoid the jab and looking for countering opportunities?

Dimitrenko by some form of decision, close fight though.

Should happen, both fighters have things that could give them problems. Chambers defense could give Dimtrenko problems, and Dimtrenko's long ass arms could give Chambers problems.
I've seen videos of Dimitrenko and honeslty I'm not to much impressed with his skills, I think he is lucky has has long arms because that is what causes alot of his opponents to have problems with him. I personally think Povetkin has more skills then Dimitrenko.
This is one of many interesting heavyweight fights that can be made, if the promoters are willing to do it.
There is a lot of talent in the division, but excellent matchups like this one are too rarely being made.
