Is Hatton a top 10 P4P?

WTF has Dawson, Pavlik, AA and Pwill done to justify being above hatton? Guess you have your reasons to hate Hatton but Dawson? fcuk thats your credibility gone. Hatton beat Kostza and deserves the recognition but thats it. Pavlik beat Taylor 2x and lost by going up in weight to try to beat BHOP. By dominating Tarver, edging out Johnson, and dominating Adamek he is in there. Not to mention the unwillingness of Calzaghe and Bhop to fight him gives him immediate credibility. Pwill beat a Plastered up Margarito, AA from the fights we have seen has proven his worth in that top 15 discussion. Hatton lost my respect when he wouldn't fight Junior Witter. I give him props for going after PBF and getting KTFO and took right back after his excuse that Joe Cortez was the reason he lossed. In the last 3 years besides the Paulie Mag win what has he done. Castillo was washed up, Lazcano is not even a top 100 boxer, He arguable lost to Collazo.

My opinion is that he has been top 10 P4P for the last 4-5 years since the Tzsyu fight basicly. He's presently 7 on my list after the Calzaghe retirement, If he beats pac I have him moving up above vazquez and marquez who haven't fought in an age but still below Pac. Pac is coming up 2 weight classes (At least) to take the fight P4P I still think he's better than Hatton.

Because Williams hasn't secured any real big fights yet doesn't mean he's not a good fighter. He's got better movement than Hatton, a much better jab, plus he's actually got head movement.But dont you get it ?? being on that P4P list is about what youve done rather than what people think you can do !:boxing:

Its unbelievable that Hatton gets slaughtered for a bad performance against Lazcano.It was his first fight back from coming off a high profile knockout loss,also he had a lot of problems in his camp with his trainer etc.He then comes back with a solid win,a win he made look easy against the No.2 in his division in a much improved performance after only a short time with his new trainer.Hatton has repeatedly achieved,never ducked anyone and managed to persevere and pull out wins even when he was not at his best.His one loss was against Mayweather,who is one of the best fighters of all time.So yes he is a top ten pound for pound fighter,an elite fighter and the best in his division.Fighters like Williams and Lopez are good fighters,and I dont doubt that they will make their moves this year,but until they actually achieve something,fight regularly against the right sort of opponents then you cant put them in.There seems to be some kind of agenda on here that states that british fighters are not worthy of being considered in P4P without it being begrudgingly so.Calzaghe is a great case in point.He was at 2-3 in the P4P lists,yet still people were queuing up to say how shit he was!Its f.ucking lunacy! Ricky Hatton is the man. He should have never left the P4P rankings. If he finishes his career with just the one loss to PBF, he should be considered for ATG status. As for Calzaghe, you know my feeling on him. Great fighter, not as good as some say, not as bad as others. But in my book the guy is a douche.

I'd put him at #10 because of his skills. Neither he nor Hatton has done jack shit recently, so I think pure boxing ability is as good a barometer as any for these two. C'mon cuff. You have to accomplish something to get ranked PfP. Dawson would be way higher than PWill in PFP. Pwill would just squeeze into the top 25. Speaking of Dawson. Where is he in the ring rankings? Caballero is 9 in the ring, Dawson has 4 defenses and has unified titles AND has a win over the Ring cruiserweight champ. Caballero has 7 defenses and a unification over the overrated Molitor. Ring rankings are crazy.
