With the effects boxing and parkinson's has had on him, would you still want to live the life he did and accomplish what he has accomplished?
I'd say it was worth it.
very good topic.
to be honest with you, i've been on boxing boards since '04 and this is probably the 1st i've seen this question asked. or maybe i'm just not on enough.
Yes. In his life he's seen 50 times more than almost anyone will see in their life. He's still living his life too, he was at the Bulls-Suns game the other day.
Definitely. He is one of the most recognisable faces and his name will forever be in history. You can either live your life in anonymity for maybe 60 years, or your name can live for eternity as a great man that inspired the lives of millions.
his life ended at 50 pretty much, he was only middle aged
i wouldn't go that far. he still seems happy. he seems like he gets a lot out of his religion, his family, and life in general.
I don't think it's worth it honestly.I mean at the end of the day it's just boxing.
no great legacy is more important than my health
Everytime I see an interview with him he doesn't feel sorry for himself and he still seems to have a humor but from when you compare him back then and to now it is just sad to watch
I was also saddned to hear that his former sparring partner jimmy ellis was suffering from Dementia pugilistica I never knew this
