Margarito Trainers ask: How is the Punch?
After the third round in which Antonio Margarito was always marging toward Miguel Cotto, One of Margarito trainers the cutman asked Margarito hows the punch(hows the hitting power) in a suspicious way.
Margarito answered don't know, but the trainer in the middle look at the other trainer in disbelief in two occasions then looks at Margarito and says nothing of punch(hitting power) even if he punches slow. Then they continue to tell Margarito to don't get too confident.
The cutman contrary to the main coach is more willing to speak freely believing he isn't being heard.
That is why that in one of the rounds the trainer in the middle says to Margarito I think we're up, but he says it knowing they're down, because he knows he's being monitor by the camera. But at the same time the other trainer tells Margarito that they're down.
In another occasion the cutman whispers secretly into Margarito ear.
When has a trainer asked his own boxer hows the hitting power of his opponent?
when has Margarito trainer ask Margarito hows the power of any of his opponents?
Much less when has a trainer ask his own protege hows his power?
Conclusion: The trainer was really asking Antonio Margarito how was his punch refering to the plaster. He was trying to find out if the plaster was getting hard or not.
While the other Trainer kept telling Margarito not to get too confident, but it was really because he didnt want Margarito to have confidence in his new found power.
Francisco Espinoza, Margartio’s co-manager, told a Mexican newspaper, that the gauze had been prepared several weeks ago with a wet cloth that caused it to become humid and harden. Huh?
Normally if gauze gets wet it doesn’t harden. It softens. Unless, of course, someone loads it with something like plaster of Paris or whatever is used these days to make casts. Then, I would assume, it would harden aplenty.
Why are Margarito trainer preparing his handwraps two weeks before a fight?
Does Antonio Margarito enjoy having dirty smelly handwraps?
Margarito trainer said they must have gotten wet. So they got wet and smelly yet they put them on? I dont know if it was plaster of paris, but it surely was plaster of tijuana. I dont mean to offend anyone, but a person that cheats and gives someone an unnecessary beating is not worthy of respect. That is unless he comes clean and admits it.
"When he started on the left hand," Richardson says, "I asked to feel the cushion (the pad) before he put it on the knuckle. I asked the deputy from the Commission, 'Did you squeeze the cushion on the right hand?' And he said no. So Margarito put the right hand up and said, 'Go ahead you can feel it,' and I said, 'No, let me squeeze this cushion before he puts it on the left hand.'"
"So when I squeezed the cushion, it was brick hard. I said, 'This is not right.' I asked the deputy to feel it, so he felt it, and he said, 'It feels all right to me.' I said, 'No, that thing is too hard.' So I asked the commissioner (Lohuis) to feel it, and he said, 'Yeah, that does feel hard.' So he peeled it back, and when he peeled it back, a square block of old wet gauze fell out that was covered with plaster. And it had an old dried-up blood stain on it."
Seems like Margarito offered the right hand so they wouldn't check the left. Margarito had a gauze covered with blood perhaps that plaster hurt his hand a bit and he bleeded.
margacheato
I had to see it a few times befor i would make a comment.
that conversation in the corner is very very suspicious clearly they are asking marg how is the punch meaning if loaded gloves are being effective.
i hope they look at all this at the hearing on feb 10.
wow ladies and gentlemen this is very suspicious sounding. "although it'll take effect slowly with that. i already know i won't confide in it" WTF that's immensely suspicious. margacheato
That breakdown by SD is pretty damn convincing. Someone get this to the CSAC!!!!
I clearly think Margarito used something againest Cotto.
But it won't change that he lost and its a questionable L on his record.
Even that Cotto lasted 11 rounds, he showed his grit.
I just hope Cotto bounces back fine cause if Marg did cheat, then that's really a shame.
and tell me how margarito who doesn't even punch that hard did this to Lujan previously before Cotto:

is that a normal thing for him to do that then this
http://www.boxnews.com.ua/photos/1454/Miguel-Cotto-Margarito29.jpg
for a guy that doesn't even hit that hard.
Well, admittedly, Lujan did have cauliflower ear. If you get hit hard on the ear that type of thing can definitely happen to someone that has this condition. I don't think that's too suss. Just a case of him (lujan) getting hit on the wrong place. It could have been done by anybody that hit him right where he got hit by Margarito.
he said, "come esta la pegada?"(hows the punch).and his trainer looks at the cut man with the scooby doo look, then looks at marga and says, "no niguno de la pegada, no te confies"(nothing about the punch, don't get confident).that shit was suspicious.
Reading this and then watching the video.... HOLY SHIT!
I am not the type to accuse anyone of anything unless I have solid evidence, and I am generally the foolish type that gives people the benefit of the doubt.
But seriously guys... this looks really bad.
trainer: how's your punch with the concrete wraps?
Margarito: no no don't talk about it the camera is here
traner: ok but don't be too confident in them.
Margarto: ok ok i wont i wont
seriously the thread starter is an idiot.
Now you all know I'm not biased so I don't want to hear anybody crying. I speak Spanish so this is my perspective and opinion(most important word) of what was said:
KEY
Speaker: (note) phrase
Capetillo: (don't understand the first thing he says) Sounds like Traga lo.
Margarito: Estoy bien.
Capetillo: (You can clearly see the water bottle in view.) Traga lo.
Cutman: Como esta la pegada?
Capetillo and Cutman kind of said it at the same moment and Margarito answers both.
Margarito: No. (To Capetillo's suggestion) No se. (To cutman's question)
Margarito: (Look to the left and tells the 3rd person) No no no. (Shakes his head saying he doesn't want water.)
Capetillo: No te confies. (He then looks at the cutman who had said something I can't seem to hear to Tony to which Capetillo responds.) No! Ninguna pegada! Aunque despegue despacio con eso! (despegue literally means take-off but that's what I got from it.)
Margarito: Ya yo lo se. No lo confio.
Although I hate to admit it, it certainly sounds like they knew something but my opinion doesn't matter. We all have to wait until the official statement comes out.
this is 100% accurate. super suspicious sounding.
As for the claim by Margarito's co-manager, Francisco Espinoza, that it was gauze that had grown humid and started to harden of its own accord, I ran that explanation past HBO commentator and Hall-of-Fame trainer, Emanuel Steward. He didn't find it plausible in the least. As proof of his point, he mentioned that he was about to auction off the hand-wraps that Lennox Lewis used in his fights with Mike Tyson and Hasim Rahman. For more than six years, Steward has kept them in a Ziploc bag. If damp gauze ever were inclined to harden over time, one would expect that those wraps would be stiff as boards by now.
"But that material," Steward told me, "is still soft."
All these Margarito haters are going to look very stupid on February 10 when he is cleared.
he might get cleared like O.J simpson. But he will forvever be a cheater.
Yeah, I think it seems kind of odd. Don't get me wrong, Margs is a warrior, but the hand wrap shit looks suspisious. It will be interesting to see how he goes from here on as his wraps will no doubt be heavily scrutinized.
According to Judd Burstein, Margarito had wet pads in the wrapping. Mosley's doctor, Robert Olvera, likened the material to the type of plaster used to make casts.
"It gets hard and mobile," said Olvera, who said he scratched the pad and "flakes of plaster of Paris" came off.
ahhh...i see xcaret logged in his 7 alts to take away your shutout
I don't see why anyone would vote for Xcaret in an open poll. I wonder if they read Xcaret's posts and think "OMG, this is f---ing genius! This poster knows what he's talking about!"

by who? The nevada state athletic commission?:lol1: Dude, the commission in california missed the plaster, it was nas who caught it.not the commssion.what do you expect the nsac, is gonna say? Naw, we ****ed up on that one.you think they wanna deal with thecontroversy?
How do you know there was plaster? The answer is you don't know. How do you know it wasn't previously used hardened gauze. Exactly you don't know.
guess you couldn't taste the sarcasm on that?
Intellect is something that is lost on him, but I'm very sure he can understand this.

It sounds like denial to me.. Do you mean the same commissioner that signed off on Margo's plaster wraps before Sugars trainer went in to dressing room and found something strange with his wraps??
