Just watched two great films back to back this morning. The first is one of my all time favorites made in 1974, called Pelham 123 (which is being remade) about a train heist. In the movie, the robbers ask for a ransom of a whopping, stagger, 1 million dollars.
Even better, i watched Dirty Harry afterwards (Great movie but really overrated obviously) and the serial killer asks for a ridiculous, insane, catostrophic, $100,000 dollars.
Mayweather might have... what? 30 million left? Keep in mind all the money he spent on stupid shit like jewelry and gambling. Well imagine what thats gonna be worth in 30 or 40 years. He better make some more and invest that shit or he'll be broooooooooooooooooooooooke soon enough

Earth shattering, Kball learns about inflation!
Inflation has been estimated at roughly 3% a year, so assuming his investments have a ROI of at least 3%, he should be okay.
Also, his net worth is probably well above 30 million, btw.
People on this website really have wild imaginations. I won't be surprised if they sell us some storyline about his money troubles if he ever makes a comeback but.. He's filthy rich and he's an intelligent businessman. He loves his money too much to gamble it away or lose it all on useless bling. Wake up. This is why Oscar is always selling us bullsh*t storylines. Cause they think boxing fans are dumb.. All too frequently they are 100% correct.
imaginations??? lol. FACTUALLY, Mayweather has gambled 30,000 bucks on a single 76ers game. and FACTUALLY, Mayweather has boughten millions of dollars worth of jewelry. jesus, some people need to read TMZ articles more often lol
7-10 mill is not enough for someone like Mayweather to live off his entire life.
It said... "per year", not for the rest of his life. Believe me mate... Floyd is smarter with his money than what you would think, why do you think he is called "Money" Mayweather? Do you really think he would put his money at risk like that when he thrives off it?
I think alot of people have a misconception of Floyd and his spending habits. Floyd leases car and whenever he when to re-up he sends those badboys back to the dealership and gets a new fleet. Also, When was the last time you heard of 'making it rain' in a club, 5 months ago. 30,000= Tmz and gang of media outlets taking about him for 2weeks without him having to lace up a glove or run 5minute miles. Hell, Floyd might be getting paid to attend this clubs for all we know. Finally, Whenever you decide to take your girl to a Beyonce/Jay Z concert pay attention to who's the promoter, it might be Mayweather. Mayweather makes more money than your favorite fighter on interest alone and having Al haymon in your corner doesn't hurt.
do you realize interest per year off 100 million is probably like 7-10 million dollars? That means he can sit on his fat ass all day long and still earn 7 to 8 figures for the rest of his life

He's not as stupid as you guys think.
A hell of a lot of his money is invested in businesses and properties.
Before you go on about how properties arent worth anything now. When the market picks up again there will be his cash.

If he hasn't invested by now he'll probably burn away any more he makes... He's doomed to fail in that way. But so are most boxing's stars you know, you don't exactly start boxing if your dad is rich and can put you thought college
Damn, this site says Floyd's net worth is 150 million.

Nevermind, it also says Oscar's net worth is only 55 million. Hell he made that much fighting Floyd.

I don't see him going broke any time soon. He may be brash and arrogant, but the man is not an idiot. He has made some investments in property and what not as previously said.
I think he needs to fight again just for the sake of boxing. We need a big name like him to come back and fight the other big name in the game (Pac Man). Plus I just want to see Floyd kick his ass.

Yeah, as long as he has millions invested in things like precious metals, real estate etc. he should be fine. Depends though, he likes to spend it pretty fast.
...except that it all got stolen lol. dont know if u heard about that, but 7 million bucks worth of jewelry got stolen from his home
I heard about that ages ago... he left it out in his bedroom and somebody broke in and stole it all, that's gotta be a kick in the balls I gotta admit! :banghead:

Hes got apparently worth $100,000,000.... so I bet he has more than just $30,000,000 left. He has apparently made good investments with his money too... so he is gaining more and more money. To be honest... I think people take the "he spends his money like it grows on tree's" thing too seriously, I could guarantee that he probably has accountants and shit that look after his money and finances.
I don't know whether the $100,000,000 is just from boxing... and not including all the cash he has earned from investments, etc. or not. I am not ruling out what you are saying though... only time will tell.

The jewelry is actually a solid investment. It retains its real value while the value of dollars drops due to inflation.
