Paul"The Punisher"Williams fought Carlos Quintana on February 9, 2008 in his first defense of his title.Williams was out boxed by the challenger Quintana throughout and lost by decision.Months later Williams and Quintana had a rematch at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut on June 7, 2008 for the WBO welterweight title.Williams got off to a quick start when a left hand sent Quintana into a daze as several follow-up barrages put Quintana down. He got up, but Williams opened up with dozens of unanswered punches as the referee jumped in to stop the fight while Quintana was going down again. If their were to be a third fight (again IF) Who would win? do you think if Quintana managed to avoid the big shots early/not look for a knockout and survive the first round, he'd be able to pick up the pattern of the first fight and win by another Ud.Or would Williams not let that happen and do what he did in the second fight?
quintana already stated that he wants to fight paul again paul moved up instead and said a fight might happen again at 154 down the line
yeah... it could happen down the road... quitnana needs to wins a couple good wins first
if i'm wrong then williams should prove me and everyone else wrong by fighting him a third and beating him. He won't though, why? Because he doesn't want to get schooled by quintana a second time.
or maybe quintana dont want to fight paul because he knows the first fight was a fluke
Paul Williams can't deal with skilled boxers that have good movement. He needs a stationary target to keep up his activity. Quintana didn't give it to him the first fight, but he did the second fight. Simple as that.
A guy like Floyd would make Williams look like a fool. I bet PWill would miss 700+ punches in that fight.
Quintana wins the third.. via another unanimous decision. the second fight was a fluke and Williams knows it.. that's why he don't wanna fight Quintana for a third.
You think so, Sin?
Man, I reckon Paul hammers Quintana if they fight again. First fight was just a bad night for P-Will, I always said that since the day he lost.

Which sounds like more of a fluke? Outboxing a guy over 12 rounds, or catching him cold in the first. The latter does to me, I guess we'll never know.
Exactly!!y

^^^
Co-sign, Quintana himself said he didnt use the game plan he had used for the 1st fight. He said he wanted to try to go toes with PWill and got caught. I think Qunitana has a good chance of beating Williams in a 3rd match, but unfortunately we wont see it, PWill dont want to eventhough theres decent money for the fight.
To be honest i dont see why, if El Indio wins his next fight, PWill wont fight him as there arent many fighters willing to fight the Punisher anyway. And if Quintana supposedly has no shot, why wouldnt PWill take a stay busy fight and fight him again, you know it'd be on tv.
I got williams 2 win..not as quickly as he did but mayber 7th/8th round ko...i think he had an off night 1st time round imo and cant see quintana pulling off a win again because it would have to be a points win again and i cant envisage p punisher dub being outboxed like dat again, well maybe again but jus not by quintana

Whatever....
Quintanna pulled out because of a ankle problem.
People like to say that there 2nd fight was a fluke. But Williams and Quintanna had 12 rounds to work with and Quintann was the better. The second fight didn't prove much besides that Williams can ko Quintanna again, but the 1st fight prove Quintanna can out box Williams in 12. Whos the better, only a 3rd fight can say that.
William and his fans talk about Margarito and how he is avoided him. But Williams himself avoided a 3rd fight. Even when Showtimes announcers hinted to a 3rd fight.
Quintana already provde he can beat him, and Williams only proved that he got a lucky punch to the temple, after that it was all over. Quintana can school him again!!!!!!!!!!!!
