ya mayweather has gotten a lot of love on the forum today, a lot of threads.
130-135 was his best weight classes, great fighter, i'm a big fan.
legacy wise though his career left as is, will always be questioned.
You really think Mayweather has a better resume that Bernard Hopkins?
Only if you crunch the numbers. 5-div, 39-0, retired P4P # 1. That can change if Mayweather embarasses himself in the upcoming years losing to someone. Also comparing fighters P4P regardless of weight class, Floyd is a much better fighter. He is compatable with B-Hop on defense and is a much better offensive fighter.
Hopkins however had beaten alot more great fighters. They're both up there in my book and two of my favorite fighters.
I give Mayweather his credit. His resume is just good. It isnt impressive or elite by any means.
Do you know Mayweather has only fought one automatic hall of famer in past prime de la hoya? Anyone else on his resume like a Hatton or Castillo MAY get in but they are not cemented in like De La Hoya is.
and who fault is that?
Mayweather has been Calling out De la hoya since 1999-2000...
Mayweather called out Mosely, but Mosely had a toothache...(remember)
You gotta remember nobody wanted to fight Mayweather at 140 (cotto) and below...
people didnt want to fight mayweather until he became the man to beat..
and they had everything to gain and nothing to lose...
to me that is some Punk shit..but what are you going to do you know
lol
Scratch, Delahoya, Trinidad and Hopkins.
RJJ yes.
no doubt dlh. Is this the same Dlh who lost to PBF 3 weight classes above his natural weight. LOL Trinidad no way hopkins and RJJ maybe.

Greatest of his generation? Rjj, Hopkins, Trinidad, De La Hoya, and many many others have and will have better legacies and will be considered better than Mayweather.

130 probly... but I think he performs best around 140.. he had movement and power in that weight class...
His resume at 140 is one of the worst i seen in all the months i have watched boxing.
super featherweight? Lightweight was ok, and the rest of his reign was a joke filled with dodging all sorts of opponents.
I think superfeatherweight.
