I'd love to see Zags take on Dawson as his REAL final fight in let's say Cardiff.. but I'm not sure that even at Calzaghe's very high skill level, that he wants a fight that difficult to cap off his career. If he went out on a win over Dawson it would be tremendous, but I think there's way too much of a legacy at stake to go out on a loss to Chad.
Somehow I doubt Joe C would purposely choose his last fight so far from home, against a fighter that while once great does not really improve his chances to be P4P #1.
Now if Pacquiao loses to DLH, is that enough to put Joe #1?
If so, it's possible this was the double end of an era...
but I've got money on another fight back home.
but he still has belts at 168 right???
From what I can see, Kessler has his WBA belt and the WBO and WBC belts are vacant. He had already been stripped of the IBF after Bika.
If he fights again it will be for his ego more than anything else. Dawson wouldnt be much of a threat so Id say he pretty much knows it so we may see that fight next year before his official retirement.
The 10 year younger, 4 inch taller, slick, undefeated southpaw Chad Dawson wouldn't be much of a threat?:poke:

???????????????he is a world champion..ring magazine lightheavy champ...and i dont think he's been stripped of all his supermiddle belts>>>might be wrong
Ring doesn't have him listed as champ at 68 anymore.
I think he'll fight again.
$$$$$
Even though he says its not a big deal to him, $$$$ rings the bell, you answer the door.
