Exaclty my point, Montiel doesnt have the skillset to outbox Darchi, which is how Donaire beat him. You cant brawl with a brawler who has way more power then you. Do you think Montiel will come in and brawl. Montiel was also working on improving his skills. Montiel got power too and been punched by Jhonny Gonzalez who has power too at a fight in 118 pounds. Montiel has never been knockdown, Vic has been KTFO.

Vic has done better than Nonito since they fought, but I'd still pick Nonito in a rematch. Not necessarily by a 1 punch KO again, but I see him counterpunchin Vic to a more competitive win in a sequel.

at this stage, I think Donaire needs the rematch more than what Vic does. people are really starting to believe that Nonito just got lucky...therefore a rematch with Vic - if Nonito were to lose, would probably spell end of career. Vic is 32 so his career is just about over anyway. I would rate a Vic - Nonito fight at 50/50 fight. I would not favour Vic nor Nonito.

Seriously, Nonito beat Vic and what has he done or gotten since. Two wins on cuts over a previously ktfo by Vic Maldonado and a bullshit mandatory that no one has heard of. Vic on the other hand has had great success. He beat three of the top guys in the divison in his last three fights (make no mistake about it he beat Z gorres). He won the first unifcation match at 115, he is very close to being the undisputed champ. Not to mention he proved he can actually box with the best and still carry dangerou power. Montiel's defeats came in by spit and majority decisions. He has never been KO, don't know if he was knockdown in his career. He fought Jhonny Gonzlez at a higher weight and i believed there was no knockdown. So Montiel have a good chin. Well, Vic has been KO'ed. Styles make fights, but a good comparison of their respective power can be seen in their fights with Z gorres. Montiel arguably lost that fight with gorres in it the whole time. Darchi wiped the floor with Gorres, the last 4 rounds consisted of gorres falling grabbing darchis legs getting up, then repeat.

dude I never mentioned that Montiel has the skillset to outbox Darchinyan, it is as easy knowing that anyone who has the power to make vic respect him, will give him a lot of trouble considering that vic isnt the 1 gifted with the most durable chin, as has been proven by Donaire before.
