Well if he was so tired of chasing he should have CUT OFF THE RING.
And yes..He did say NO MAS..
I bet if Ray quit you would have a problem calling him a quitter.
I have a problem with any little internet warrior pansy calling any of these warriors quitters and that includes Ray, yes. And no, he never said No Mas.
Poll to come :boxing:
i would have to say its just about a tie between JCC sr. and gatti...
two truely tough men who werent ever afraid to fight anyone and everyone.
JCC's number of fights speak for its self...or the famous photo of him standing in the ring with his face soaked in blood...when i hear "JCC" thats the image that comes to mind...
when i hear "gatti" i think for his wars with mickey ward...
i also think of his last fight and how even though he was too far gone in his career and getting a pretty good beating from gomez he still believed he could pull out a win...
both truely tough guys who deserve all the credit they get.
but i wouldnt say any fighter on that list ISNT a warrior...that would be disrespectful especially considering how they were in their careers...being fearless men.
No mas Duran eh'?
One fight where he got tired of chasing a guy he'd already beaten around a 24 ft ring. He never said No Mas and I prefer to think of his other 118 pro fights.
Who the fuck would pick Ali? He is a dancer not a take one to give one fighter. Aurtoro Gatti is the true warrior:boxing:
damn right, from my home town of Montreal but I didn't pick him. I think Holyfield edges this one out just cuz he took MUCH harder shots from cruisers and heavyweights.
Tye Fields.
No seriously, what a list. I'd have to go with the group of Holyfield, Lamotta, Chavez, Ali and Gatti. Holyfield showed against Tyson and Bowe that he can overcome some serious odds. Chavez turned the Taylor fight around and withstood Rosario's onslaughts. Lamotta showed incredible desire in fights, particularly in Laurent Dauthuille fight where he turned the fight around in the 15th to keep his title.
Ali won when no one thought he could, like in the Liston and Foreman fights. Gatti, no explanation necessary.
With those guys it didn't really matter what it said on the scorecards because you were going to have to fight them every second they were up.
Um, where is Morales and Barrera. After thier first fight, there is no question that they hold the number one and two spots as Ultimate Warriors of the sport.
I knew somebody was gonna point something out like this :lol1:. What I meant to say was that who was best at going though complete hell just to pick up a victory.
Lol. was ali really 6'3" though?
arturo gatti gets my vote
