no because the ONLY thing that matters in BOXING is height and reach, and p-will has an advantage in both.
unless they're gonna have a judo match, their weight isn't gonna help them win.
What? Are you serious?
Extra weight means more weight on the punches, more muscle, Tyson had height and reach disadvantages to say Tommy Hearns who fought and won as high as Cruiser and one could say they were about equal in talent. But Tyson was heavier, who would win?

Do you even watch boxing?
or are you being sarcastic?
I say No....It's amazing he can get down to 147 given his height and build. He's not all that 'skinny'.
I'm also suprised Williams would be willing to fight Pavlik.....
id be surprised if Pavlik would be willing to fight anyone he thinks is a threat.
What do you guys think?

So then Hopkins is a natural LHW?
Williams has fought more then 1 fight at Middleweight unlike Hopkins. Williams fought like his first 15 fights there.
I say do it......
He weighed 156 against Quitana..4 pounds shy of 160 AFTER sweating and starving down to 147...he looked good at 156 pounds.
Maybe him and his team thinks its time to move up and 154 is shitty so why not 160.
Given the option of tearing up 154 or moving up to 160 and fighting Pavlik and Abraham, I'd pick 154. I think he's waiting to see what happens in the Cotto/Margarito fight. If Margarito wins, I think Paul will look to unify.
Dude Williams is a freak for 147...you know that.
I'd say he's probably a natural 154 lber and yeah, he's a bit of a freak at 147, I really thought he would move up after the Quintanna loss.
everyone knows that if Pavlik knocked out Williams, everyone would call Williams a blown up Welterweight.
I think its safe to say that Williams is at his best at 147lbs...because thats all he ever fought at. If you jump up weight only because you want a big fight at that weight and not because youre forced to because of problems making weight, then youre 'blown up'.
and reach alone doesnt make a fighter 'bigger' than another.
Williams is 6'1". Massive for a welter, average for a middleweight. He also is not a big puncher (regardless of his destruction of Quintana) at welterweight.
Margarito is like 5'10 and Williams seemed bigger then just 3 inches. I'd say he is closer to 6'2 or 6'3 then what they say, but still, Willaimss has the frame of a Middleweight. I don't see how power has anything to do with it anyway, Winky Wright drew with Jermain Taylor and he has no power at all.
No, but Williams is 6'3 and blows up to 164ish most of the time. Also, Williams started his career at middleweight. If he were to fight at Middleweight, he would probably blow up to 170ish, what Pavlik weighs.
Also if Winky Wright isn't a contender, insert Randy Griffin or someone then.

Are you suggesting that Williams and Hearns are of equivalent ability?
Also I'm not sure how Winky Wright continues to be a legitimate contender.
Because he really would beat 95% of the guys at MW right now maybe.....
