VALERO TO ME HITS HARDER HES STRONGER AND FRESHER AND MORE DURABLE HES YOUNGER AND HUNGRIER MANNN I WOULD HAVE LOVE TO SEE THIS FIGHT....I HOPE JMM NEVER FIGHTS VALERO......I KNOW JMM IS BETTER FIGHTER BUT HE IS JUST GETTING OLD AND WE KNOW IT CANT BE EASY TO BE AS GOOD AS HE AS AT 34 ESPICALLY BEING A FEATHERWEIGHT ......VALERO MAY BE TO STRONG FAST AND RELENTLESS BUT YOU NEVER NO...VALERO ALSO THINKS GUZMAN IS A BETTER THAN PAC!!!:boxing: .....THIS IS JUST MY TAKE ON HIM LEAVING I THINK HE SHOULD STAY AT 130!!!
Pac's problems are with boxers. He'd have it tough against Guzman and he had it tough against Marquez and the 1st Morales fight. Pac ain't got no reason to be afraid of Valero. That'd be a good fight but I doubt it happens anytime soon.
True. No way these fights happen. I'd just like to see pac slug it out with valero or soto. This will be one of those fights where we'll see who can take and dish out the most punishment.

humberto soto got pwned by Joan Guzman....... thats that
If guzman fights pac guzman is going to win you know pac has problems
with boxers guzman is the best in the lower weight division next to
calderon
Where the hell did I say anything about guzman? Of course pac has trouble with boxers. Morales boxed him in the first fight and won and imo marquez beat him twice. Guzman is dangerous to pac that's why the fight will never get made. I just hear people saying that valero will kill pac when he hasn't done anything. Soto doesn't deserve a shot at pac either but he should definetly be in line ahead of valero imo.
I'm not sold on valero. I think humberto soto is more of a threat to pac than valero.

not being blinded by a fighter's cock = being a hater?
since when?
Not you. I was speaking about Muppetman. You at least know based on our discussions on other threads that i am just as big a JMM fan as i am a Pacquiao fan. But this muppetman fellow obviously has a hard-on for valero.
I DONT KNOW ANYONE WHO SAYS MAB BEAT MARQUEZ.....MARQUEZ WON THAT FIGHT CONVINCINGLY:duh:
then you're new here i guess. try to make a poll so you'll know better. it was a close fight, i have no problem w/ jmm winning, but on my card, i had mab winning that night, cant remember the score but i gave mab the KD credit too.
See...even the other Pac hater disagrees with you. Your argument is that Pac is a coward cuz he wont stay at 130 to fight valero right?? But like i said....any1 with a half decent name at 130 follows Pac up to 135 and either eventually faces them or beat the hell out of each other trying to get a shot at him so what are you bitchin about??

I say MAB beat Marquez. It was a back and forth battle just as close as Marquez-Pac2. As it was...close decision that could have gone either way and i have no beef with the Marquez victory. If the knockdown had counted however it would have been a clear victory for MAB..turning a round that Marquez otherwise won on my and alot of others's scorecards to a 2point margin in Barrera's favor
I thought MAB won too... Thing is I think Marquez that showed up for the rematch destroys that MAB he fought. Marquez gets sloppy in alot of his fights like againts Jandeng, Jaca, Juarez, Barrera, Chris John(robbery) he was not the same Marquez that raises his level several notches up when he faces Pacquiao. I think Marquez is always in good shape physically but not as good as when he trained for Pac in the rematch.. I don't think he's there mentally for other oppenents but you can see in his eyes how focused he was againts Pac when there is more danger involved... Marquez is an awesome fighter...He has gained my awe and respect. He got up from shots that made Morales shake his head..Need to see a rematch though.

valero is a pussy, pacman is the topdog. nuffsaid
YEA JUST LIKE FLOYD IS THE GREATEST........LOL.........NO ONE SHOULD TAKE YOU SERIOUS LOOK WHO YOU HAVE IN YOUR AVATAR!!!!:luvbed:
If you think that Barrera was in his prime when they fought either of times then you are borderline insane and nothing more than laughable. At the times that he fought Pacquaio, he had already had wars with Hammed, Junior Jones, McKinney, and the 3 fight trilogy with Eric Morales and he wasn't past this best? I don't give a damn where he was ranked. Ali was ranked at the top 10 when he fought Larry Holmes but does that mean that he was still in his prime? Marquez was past his prime but was still a good champion and that was a legit win. But that doesn't take away from the fact that he has slowed down quite a bit and doesn't have the same reflexes as when they met the first time. Guzman is an unbeaten champion with Floyd Mayweather like skills and i see him beating Pacquaio. He would simply slip and counter everything that he would throw and master that straight left hand. He would be the biggest threat and Pacquaio has already made it clear that he doesn't want to fight him.

Again to correct your ignorance... He only had two fights with Morales before Pacquiao got to him.. In the third fight with Morales which he won, people were not really to keen on calling Barrera 'past his prime'. As a matter of fact nobody, really used that excuse when Pacquiao beat him the first time either... The 'past his prime' excuse just got carried away with Morales' losses and carried over to Marquez and somehow came to include Barrera by all who wanted to discredit Pacquiao... The excuses were forrest fires in Big Bear and Metal plate in head... Get it right.. That would've been more credible than past his prime.
this 'past his prime' is way overused and wrongfully most times. past his prime is when ali fought holmes, louis fought rocky. but to say these guys that pac beat are easy prey is just plain stupid. marquez cant even beat mab easily, a lot of ppl thought mab won. erik gave diaz the fight of his life, even knocking down the bigger diaz after his trilogy w/ pac. i'd give it to you that erik looked past it in the 3rd fight but the first weren't. and you forgot pac beat mab to a pulp back in 03 when mab was still in prime.I DONT KNOW ANYONE WHO SAYS MAB BEAT MARQUEZ.....MARQUEZ WON THAT FIGHT CONVINCINGLY:duh:

How is lb for lb Barrera past his prime? At 34 Marquez has reached the pinnacle of his pontential as a fighter physically, mentally I have never seen Marquez like this in his career. Even Marquez admits he has never felt better or younger; even out running much younger stable mates during his road work. To use the 'Barrera was past his prime' excuse, come on man your going overboard and wearing it out. At least use the forest fires, metal plate in the head excuse. I think that was the correct one that was being used at that time.
You trippin boy.... Barrera was past his prime??? He was the #3lb for lb fighter in the world when they fought. Marquez has seen less wars than Pacquiao and the version of Marquez that showed up in the rematch against Pacquiao was the best version of Marquez EVER in his entire career. Dude took punches that would destroy anybody. He was faster and sharper than I've ever seen him. Morales you can make an argument for but he was 29. The same age as Pac now who with his face first style has been in plenty wars as well.. You don't hear anyone calling Pac past his prime do you? Dude get your head straight and stop with that one sided bull shit...

Completely untrue. Pacquaio has fought nothing but past their prime legends and fringe contenders. With Guzman's skill set, caliber and unbeaten record, he would be hands down the best fighter that Manny has faced. Morales was past his prime, Marquez was in his prime when they fought to a draw the fight time and Manny didn't beat him, Barrera was past his prime and so was Oscar Larios. Guzman has beaten everyone that he has faced and convincingly at that.
