I don't know how to make GIFS or whatever you call it so just press play, I think to see the video.
It looks like a left and right hand hook lands for Pac and Marquez holds the rope to keep himself up. Could be ruled a Knockdown, but wasn't. Alot of people wanted to see this so here you ago.
I think there should be a thread where we dredge up every sightless assessment from Ferocity and make him explain every stance he's had on the sport. If he cannot sufficiently justify his perspectives, we should send a forums representative to beat him with a shovel until he apologizes for being dumber unintentionally than any alt could be on purpose.
you're a bad man. but here, i'll provide the shovel... :D
LOL! Exactly

its to protect fighters i believe. when you're dazed, just 2-3 clean hard shots to the head could kill, or do extensive damage.
yea, I understand why they do it. and they have good reasons too...but honestly, I think most major long term damage comes more from an accumulation of punches in a fight...the refs should be more focused on stopping a fight when a fighter is getting beaten on badly over a long period of time but refusing to go down and less on calling 'technical' knockdowns or jumping in to stop fights early.
but then again...Im no doctor. So Ill let them decide.
but anyways lol refs are overall more iffy about knockdowns than they used to be
oh no, Marquez definately was getting hit and was hurt. theres no doubt about that. but I didnt think that tiny little hold was enough to be considered a knockdown, no way...
and I dont mean THAT far back in the day that Marquez would have no time at all to recover, haha...Marquez would have probebly taken a knee until 8 and then popped up if it was only about 10 years ago or so. maybe its just me, but I think refs are a little more iffy about knockdowns nowadays.

it was close, couldve been called a KD or not. but to say jmm just just leaned and wasnt hit flush is turning a blind eye. pac's punches too fast for your eye you didn't catch the left right combo that made jmm's right glove hang on the rope for a sec?
and please dont mention 'back in the day'. if you brought back your 'back in the day' last saturday then jmm would surely slept early right after the first KD as there was no standing 8-count 'back in the day'.

funny how no one noticed untill someone rewatched it and decided to post it on the net. thats how fast it was. if it was really that obvious, there would have been threads about it as soon as the fight was over.
I think he may have lost his footing or balance for a moment...
i dont think he was going down...he would have held on longer than that and it would have been a lot more noticable...he also didnt appear to be hurt...
just my opinion...
but it could have been going either way...too close to call even on replay...so if the ref ruled it a knockdown i couldnt argue too much...but he let it go since it was close and i believe he was giving marquez the benefit of the doubt.
If JMM wasn't hurt then why did he almost walk to Pac's corner to sit & rest lol? The ref had to guide him back to his own corner. He was hurt very bad but fought back on instinct like a true warrior. That rope grab kept him from going down or else why would he grab for it?
it doesnt seem like he hanged from the rope though to keep himself from touching the floor. if you're falling down and you hold on too something to prevent it, you hold on for longer than what he did there but he DID grab it going back wards. it seems to me like more of a judgement call which could have gone either way. just like the fight.
Are you fvcking blind?lol  :haha:
Off balance from a left/right combo punch. That's what knocked him off balance & made him grab the rope.
And when Mosley dropped Vargas, it was a flash knockdown.
thats it...? thats what people are calling the 2nd knockdown? that was barely anything...The way people were talking, I thought that Marquez had been hit flush and was sent falling lifeless into the ropes...
people lean against the ropes all the time. people are so touchy about technicalities nowadays. back in the day, shit like that was never even debated about being a knockdown.
legit 'falling into the ropes to keep you up' knockdowns are ones like Lennox Lewis, Micahel Grant, where he got hit hard in the middle of the ring and went flying across the ring into the rope post.

lol, watch that video like 5 times and just focus on the ref. I dunno why but he cracks me up there.
Also, one time after an unintentional headbutt, he stepped in and looked at pacmans head, had this funny ass look on his face.
He did a great job though, imoI thought i'm just the only one who noticed him this. :D that ref bayless has a crush on pac imo j/k . hes looking at pac all the time :biggthump
