WTF Pacquiao vs Diaz next instead of a third with JMM?

The only problem is the better fighters are Joan Guzman and JMM. I can see Arum's plan for Pac already: Fight Diaz take his belt, fight Urbano Antillon (Top Rank Fighter) then big money fight w/ Hatton. Sad thing is Arum won't have Pac fight Campbell, Katsidis, or Juan Diaz. If Arum was serious about making a statement at lightweight he would have Pac fight one of the three mentioned. of course he'll do. Better wait and see. :D

A 4 division champ is still a big deal, especially to the Phillipines. If Pacquiao beats Diaz as expected, he'll go from his already legendary status over there to a mythic figure, even though Diaz barely deserves the name of a titleholder. A match with likes Campbell or the winner of Katsidas-Casamayor is very interesting. Cambell a top-level vet on a role, with the smarts & size to potentially give Pacquiao all sorts of problems, & against a powerhouse brawler like Katsidas you're looking at a thiller. Would love to see a rematch against JMM myself, but think that Pacquiao will have a lot of trouble making the 130lb limit again, & don't think that his team will risk another shot with Marquez. Too much to lose for Pacquiao & his people... From what I am seeing the majority of the press had Marquez edging it, but any way it was viewed from outside, you had Pacquiao barely scraping through with the judges. Too much money at stake for a third to happen in the immediate future is my view, & have my doubts that either fighter has much more than 3 or 4 high level fights left in them, so probably won't happen at all. Sad, especially for Marquez, but let's appreciate what they've already given in 2 classic matches.

makes sense, but they cant fight watch each other forever. if they many more fights like that, they both will have to retire soon. Its kind of the situation we have with Marquez vs Vasquez. and really, a third fight wouldnt prove all that much. Pinoys will swear that Pac won both the Marquez fights, Mexicans will say that Marquez won, the people that know how to score fights will say Marquez won both, the ones that dont will say Pacquiao won both...haha, just kiddin bout that last part. but the point is that chances are, most people that scored the first fight for Pac also scored the second one for him and same with Marquez, because its clear that the scores give more points for that fighters particular style. a third fght wouldnt change anyones mind. I sure as hell wouldnt complain if they fought again soon, they match up fantastically! but I would like Pacquiao to move on to Lightweight, and Marquez can take over 130 if he wants.I actually think this fight is closer than the first. Imo Pac got lucky the first knocking down Marquez 3 times in the opening round. I had Marquez winning 7 rounds to 5. With out the first round whick I scored 10-6 for pac, Marquez would've won. That's one thing I hate about the 10 point system. It's almost impossible for one guy to win the fight If he gets knockdown 2 or 3 times in one round.

Why should there be another fight? Because the last two were so close! This is the whole reason there are trilogies in boxing. I am dissappointed that Pac said this was finished business. Obviously from the response on the boards it is clear it is not finished. Especially when 2 fight have taken place and one was a draw. This a great trilogy in the making! If Pac had lost I'm sure he would have not said this was finished. There is unfinished business at jr lightweight and if we are all honest with ourselves we would agree.

we've seen them fight twice already. If you don't like the way boxing is judged then they can have 10 fights and people are still gonna bitch. Watch a different sport in that case. Pac won the decision and has every right to move up in weight like he stated way before this fight. This is not some big surprise that he was moving up in weight.

a draw is not a win and the only reason it was a draw was because 1 of the judges didn't score the fight correctly that judge didnt score the fight correctly anyway, because Pacquiao won it haha. nah that one was extremely close. Niether guy is close to being on Pacquiaos level, and both are going to get knocked out in under 6 rounds. Its almost a garuntee David Diaz would for sure. he was getting hit by that bum last night...if that bum had more than 1 KO on his record, Diaz probebly would have been hurt multiple times. Pacquiao sure as hell has that power. Campbell could be a tricky customer. Campbell kicked the shit out of Quiles, who is a southpaw...altho Quiles isnt Pacquiao. but Campbell did abuse Quiles, landed 452 punches, geez...and plus Campbell is at his best against fighters that are sort of like Pacquiao, like Zegan and especially Kid Diamond.
