They say Cotto is worming on his charms... lol no way :D I would be friend with him but business partner or something like that. He is not charsmatic like Tito if people chant he dance around and stuff. The guy is kinda of weird you cant really tell what he thinks and who he want to fight usally Arum picks his oppenet and he finish them off. That is his style.

In Mosely-Cotto 24/7 I was saying WTF he didntn even smile when he was in a little girl and boys in classroom chanting his name. Diaz has all the tools to be one of the best light weights ever. He's got the skills, the speed, decent enough pop, the talent, and more importantly the competition to become great around.

Diaz is a humble kid that goes to college and lives with his parents. He wants a degree and I admire him a lot. He is not well known maybe because of his lack of charisma. But if Cotto has become well known with the years and his record, Diaz will surely be well recognized by the end of 2008. He still got a nice personality. He just needs that one more defining victory to get him over the hurdle. I think if he beats katsidis then his time begins with a shot with a big name contender. I think he also has the likable personality that will help him to stardom.

I dont think GBP could give that chance to unify the title as Don King said. I think he need time to become popular, He wont impressive win but not the win that general public knows about. I think that is part of wanting the Pac fight. It like Hopkins he won many MWs contender and had 20 title defense but was not famous intell he won Tito and Oscar.

He's made 7 straight defences of his WBA title. Back to back unification bouts in his last fights. Doesn't have hard KO power, but throws brilliant combinations and has good defence. With all he's accomplished at only 24, while going to college, it amazes me how many people don't even know who he is. I like Juan Diaz, he is one of the best volume punchers in boxing along with Joe Calzaghe and Paul Williams. You would think he would be one of the most popular mexican fighters, but he isn't even close. The Mexicans care more about the shot fatty Vargas and overrated Margarito rather than the Undisputed Lightweight Champion of the world. Maybe it's because of his lack of power, I don't know.

I've always thought Juan Diaz is a very good fighter. No idea why he is'nt popular, he should be, the first time I saw him was against Lakva sim and right after I knew he will be a star, very good fighter IMO. I'll have to check out the Sim fight. First one I saw was the Cotto fight, and I was sold on him. I just noticed he doesn't have a single MD or SD out of 16 decisions, and most of them are pretty one sided.

Either way the fight with katsidis is going to be great FOTY. Juan diaz's accuracy and work rate will be to much. Katsidis has never been in the ring with some 1 like diaz. He wont make Mike quit like his last two opp. but he'll win by decision. I don't see him KOing Katsidis, but I do see it possibly being stopped on cuts. If not he outpoints him by a fairly decent margin. But it should be a hell of a fun fight to watch.

Cotto threw around 400 punches in the first 3 rounds and landed only about 50. Diaz is second only to Mayweather in offense/defense differential.

Maybe it's because he likes to keep out of the limelight and not talk trash, and as mentioned above, he hasn't had that one defining fight yet.

He hasn't had his defining fight. He's got some pretty good wins, but he needs to fight a big name to become widely known. and really there isn't anyone at Lightweight for him to have it. There are guys just above and just below.
