I mean damn man can we please be honest ??? dont understand why people call hatton a warrior and this and that ... lol he (in my eyes lost a close fight) and then instead of rematching this man and proving people wrong ...he ran back to 140 ... who else has done that ??? lets take a look ...
barrera fought rocky juarez ... and won a close close disputed decision , then came back and rematched him and beat him ...
mayweather arguably lost the first fight with castillo (depending on how you look at it) ... he came back and gave him a rematch and won ...
Hatton completely disregarded Collazo after that fight because deep down in his heart , he knew he lost ...
lets just be honest ...
Floyd rematched a guy people thought he couldnt beat... hatton was too scared to make a statement ....
and hatton is going to beat Mayweather ...

haha i second that :owned: i believe hatton might of lost if he hadnt of got the knock down tho lol  :boxing:
Floyd couldn't have been that depsarate to have unified at 140 because there were two other champions he could have fought against bit he didn't. Hatton has made smart decisions which have earned him alot of money, I don't see anything wrong with that.
Who was he going to fight? Maussa? Maussa won the title from a guy who was begging floyd to fight him, and floyd didint give a shit, if Floyd would have fought Maussa, you all would have lost youre minds, a guy like Maussa doesnt bring floyds stock up at all, especially coming off his biggest payday in front of his biggest audience.
Cotto? He was still regarded as a prospect then, there is noway that fight would have happened as cotto was still developing and there is no feasible way to put a fight together between them. Floyd at this point SIGNED a fight with the undisputed welterweight champion at the time Zab Judah, so basically, Floyd was only looking to go after the best fight for the biggest purse, he only needed one tuneup at welter against Mitchell to prepare him for Judah, and the fight was signed.
Hatton was the only other belt holder, and after Tszyu lost, he was really the only one who mattered in the division besides floyd. Youre sitting here talking about smart desicions that have made him alot of money, but my point is, if youre an undisputed champion, and the best fighter p4p is calling you out, you shouldnt "need a few more fights" thats bullshit in my opinion, when youre king of a division, you dont need to wait it out to fight the best in youre division. I could understand if Hatton needed say, one showcase fight here in america to make that happen, but after he fought Collazo he ran back to 140.
No matter what, Hatton is making alot of money now, youre right, but people often whine and cry to no end about how Floyd is only about money and this and that, but when someone else makes the same moves/desicions that microscope of hate dissapears.
Hatton wanted to establish himself in America before fighting Floyd. I would say that is a pretty sensible thing to do. If Hatton's stock had lowered considerably then why is he still recognised in most P4P lists and why is he about to receive the biggest payday of his career?
He's about to get it because of floyd no other reason. floyd is the reason for this fight. Hatton hasnt even had a ppv yet but he is considered one of the best in the world??? lol doesnt make sense. if that was true he would have a t least a few by now. if it wasnt for floyd he be fighting on hbo again for free.

then why is it wrong for floyd to make smart decisions and make himself alot of money?
Margarito will never fight Williams or Clottey again either.
stupid. margarito has been wanting williams again ever since he lost. pay attention. geeezzz!!!! he even said after his last fight he wants williams or anyone else. quite typing if you dont know what your talking about!
Think about the logic. He's scared to rematch Collazo, but he went on to fight the hard hitting Castillo, and is now fighting Floyd. All the talk about Castillo being shot didnt come until Hatton KO'd him. Prior to fightnight, ALOT of people were predicting a victory and possible KO in favor of Castillo.
that is not true. after the 1st corrrales fight he was never the same. everyone knew he was a different fighter that and never looked good after that fight. never!
Why the fuck would he want a rematch? Collazo was and still is way to small a name to advance Hatton's record. A rematch would have been high risk/low payoff.
hypocrites. now the haton fans are sounding like floyd lmao:owned:

Yea you know what your talking about? What a daft thread!
Hes getting the biggest payday of his career because hes fighting the best fighter on the planet right now. everyone in the last 2 1/2 years have been getting their best paydays against floyd, including good old DLH thats why. Hatton is on p4p lists because he hasnt lost, you dont get kicked off of p4p when you havent lost, but it doesnt mean some luster can be taken from you if you go out there and have less than desirable performences, which he did against collazo and durango regardless. His KO of Castillo was good, but Castillo was finished. Either way, yes its sensible to have a fight in the US first, but the fact still remains, Hatton had his chance to unify at 140, he didint, he had his shot to fight Mayweather at 147 last year when he actually still had a belt, he didint, even if Hatton wanted to ignore the Urkal mandatory, he actually could have if he would have taken the floyd fight, but he didint.

Floyd had been chasing fight with Hatton since his days at 140, while Hattons stock has lowered like i said, its still a viable fight that will make alot of money because hes undefeated and has a fanbase that worships him wherever he goes, his stock has gone down as far as his last few performances barring the Castillo KO when it comes to the USA. Fighting Mayweather when youre supposed to be the unified 140 champ isnt insane at all, if youre an undisputed champion, fighting anyone near youre weight class that is supposed to be the one youre at youre prime in isnt insane at all.
You think its insane that the only reason mayweather never unified at 140 is because of hatton's unwillingness to take the fight?

I guess, i mean, if you ask me, if floyd was unified champ at 140 and refused to fight a guy who is regarded as the p4p number 1 in the sport, in a weight hes supposed to be outstanding at, this board would explode with hate. people hated on floyd when he refused to fight average beltholder margarito. i think its a definate double standard to defend Hatton for clearly ducking floyd 2 times (documented). You all sit here and talk about how money and buisness dont matter and all, but by saying that you say it does, so from now on, when a fighter opts out of a fight due to not making enough money, i dont wanna hear or see any shit from you at all.
Good post. Most people dont see the double standard they present(mainly the haters)
Hatton is making MUCH more money fighting Floyd now, than he would have then. He knows what he's doing.

Fighting Mayweather in the second fight of a three fight deal with HBO would have been insane. If Hatton's stock has "lowered majorly" then why has the self-styled "Money" Mayweather chosen to fight him? The answer is that his stock has not lowered at all and that the Castillo fight has propelled him to a new level financially.

Yeah, his stock has lowered so much beating an undefeated world champ and Castillo that he's only making 16 million dollars to fight the second biggest fight of the year.
Here is the thing about that, The mandatory was Oktay Urkal, which is understandable that he vacated, the biggest problem is that he was offered that Mayweather fight for Mayweathers november date and he declined and went back to 140 altogether, even if someone said the collazo fight had no interest/money in it, which is somewhat understandable i guess, he didint even take the big money fight offered to him in the first place. His stock has lowered majorly, only scoring the KO against the shot Jose Luis Castillo since the Collazo fight, essentially Mayweather is Hatton's cash out fight, if he loses or wins, the idea of him taking on the top welterweights is beyond happening.

This is the fifth thread on this subject in the past three days so I am only going to explain this one more time. If Hatton stayed at welterweight he would have had to face the mandatory challenger for his belt. A rematch against Collazo without a belt is simply not feasible. The only other option would have been for Collazo to fight Hatton at light welterweight which is also not feasible.
