Do you think Tarvers stock will go up after beating the 50th ranked fighter in the division? I mean really...this was a "gimme" for Tarver. I'm still not impressed with the guy. I believe he has very little chance of beating Lacy, Dawson or Woods.
It didnt rasie his stock. But 4 time LHW champ Tarver would beat the breaks off Dawson, Ill beat ALL my points on it. All beat all points on Tarver on his next fight, dont care who the opponant is.
Why does everyone say he's going to fight Dawson? He doesn't want to fight Dawson, that's why he turned down $2 million not to fight him. I think Tarver wants to fight someone he knows he has a better chance at winning. Erdei called him out, but he will probably face the winner of the Drews/Green fight.
Beating a guy that was KOd in his last fight, KO'd BOTH times he got a shot at the title, and that looked in terrible shape. A 5'9" light heavy to boot. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPE.
A win always raises your stock... Depending on where you were b4 it.
and seeing as how tarver was dominated by a guy moving up in weight *(hopkins)* This fight no matter the Competition *(as long as it was a natural light heavy)* should only add to him..
Nope. Hes fighting bums. I think hes a long way off Dawson and his age means its not going to narrow.
Agreed.........but Tarver is one of those that makes it look easy because he's got good power. His next fight has to be a major player, hopefully it will be Dawson. He can't live off the RJJ knockout forever.
Santiago wasn't in as good of shape as he claimed. His body looked soft and Tarver took advantage. Tarver still looks like he's way past his prime. Not a shot fighter but he's about one KO loss from that
