Dawson vs pavlik at a catch weight?

Dawson beats him in rather one-sided fashion. I like Pavlik as much as the next guy, but Dawson has too much in the arsenal. My words exactly. Pavlik is very similar to Adamek but maybe a little better technically & more methodical. Dawson would box circles around him & possibly stops him. He's faster than anyone Pavlik's fought & slicker too.

Pavlik hits like a Light Heavyweight at 160 and his power would be even more devastating at 175 or a 170 catchweight. Adamek isn't a big puncher and he knocked down Dawson with a right hand and had him hurt bad in the 10th round of their fight...If that right hand was from Pavlik I bet Dawson would still be sleeping right now. Ademek is a bigger puncher than Pavlik, look at all those knockouts he has on his record. Pavlik would not have the same kind of power that he has at middleweight because he would be moving up two weight classes, plus he would be slower than what he already is. even if Pavlik did have the same power, i still see Dawson beating him by wide UD. Pavlik is not in Dawsons leauge. Dawson is just too skillfull for Pavlik, it would be the most beautiful boxing clinic you would ever see.

at this point its Pavlik by KO. I love Bad Chad's Style but he hasn't faced top Comp yet. Once I see his skills tested, then I can re-think my vote.

Chad Dawson is the best boxer in the world north of 154. There ain't anybody he can't beat including the brothers Klitschko. I don't know why his manager is playing around with these minor league fights. Perhaps everybody is ducking him. At least they should be making a lot more noise. Funny stuff man. But seriously, Dawson would outbox Pavlik to about a 8-4 or 9-3 decision. Kelly might get a knockdown in the fight but won't be able to finish him if he does, and overall get a fairly good boxing lesson from Chad all night. Chad has good power, but he couldn't stop an old Harding, who'd been stopped twice already. I think Kelly took some pretty serious shots from Miranda and Taylor so I think he goes the distance.

Dawson got this. Dawson is everything Taylor IS and ISNT. Doesnt make sense? Well, Dawson has the speed, power and boxing ability. Atributes shared by Taylor. BUT, Dawson also has patience, intellegence and confidence. Characteristics that Taylor has lacked recently. Dawson is a good enough "boxer" to know when to take a stand and when to move away from dangerous situations. Dawson is able to put his punches together to ultimately set up his power shots and is a VICIOUS body puncher. One thing we havent seen with Kelly is how well he takes a powerful body attack. I doubt this is a fight the Pavlik camp would ever want.

Pavlik would work him. Dawson's a softy. Pavlik would hurt this kid early and Dawson would be on his bike. He's slick for a big man but he isn't even as good as Tarver was in his prime. Tarver at least could punch with the left hand and right hook. Easy fight for Pavlik, IMO. Weight doesn't matter because Pavlik is huge for 160 and he is stronger then Dawson. I disagree. When dawson was knocked down by ademek he did not hold or nothing. he fought back and did well. i think ademek is bigger than pavlik as well. Ademek is fighting at cruiserweight right now so i am pretty sure he is bigger than pavlik. I think the dawson vs pavlik fight would look similar to the dawson vs ademek fight. Pavlik would have some moments, maybe hurting dawson at some points, but i think dawson would be in full control. you cant hit nothing you cant see. dawson would be in and out all night.:boxing:

Dawson by TKO6, Dawson has knocked out Light-Heavyweights and Pavlik is no Light-Heavyweight. It's going to be a one-sided beating. Pavlik doesn't have the skills or speed to match up with Dawson. Dawson would outwork him and them pummel him to a pulp, it will be brutal, and I don't care how tough Pavlik is. If he got knocked down by Taylor, just expect that except 5X worse. Just watch the fight with Harding, Adamek, Ruiz, and Medonza his skills are astonishing.

No doubt about it Bad Chad would destroy Pavlik! As far as Nard and Tarver... Both of them want no part of the kid. If he fought either one of the old men he would send them into retirement quick! The boy has sickening reflexes (ala Roy Jones Jr. in his prime), decent power, and the hunger of a young fighter and he's the light heavyweight champ.

Pavlik's my boy but I have to say I think Dawson by UD. His domination of Adamek was incredible. He would not knock Pavlik out tho, no way. There is a chance Pavlik could KO Dawson in the later rounds by landing enough of those straight rights, but Dawson is slick enough to probably avoid it. And what the fuck does race have to do with knowing Chad Dawson? I'm white and I been knowing who he is, as have a lot of other white folks in this forum I'm sure...
