Would all the Top 80s Fighters be Champion in this era?

i can't stand all the cock-sucking of 70's/80's fighters on this board.

For the 80's you can add eusebio pedroza, azumah nelson and salvador sanchez at featherweight. It was an awesome decade for boxing man.

No one can say for sure who would win, otherwise, no one would pick Lacy to beat Joe, and Miranda to beat Pavlik, and no one would pick Wlad to beat Sanders opinions do not make facts. I think boxing is too global now to let Americans feel comfortable anymore.....wake up and live with it.:ugh:

I dont see any way Mayweather beats Hearns. He might not get knocked out, but it doesnt matter. Hearns was a good enough boxer to win by decision.

Most likely, and Hearns would KO Mayweather in spectacular fashion... Which Hearns? The one that started his career at 147 or the one who eventually fought at Cruiserweight? Which Mayweather would be beat? The one who started at 130 or the one who won a belt at Light Middle weighing 148-150? Would it be too much of a stretch to say that Hagler would KO Hatton in spectaculor fashion too? Would Tyson KO Calzaghe? C'mon dude, if you're gonna compare guys from different generations at least compare them to guys at the same weight.

whitaker mayweather would be the boringest fighter ever, they are too similar and their styles are all about waiting to see what your doing to do then adjusting to it, it would be 10 rounds of starting each other down and pot shotting because they are both so quick and so defensive, id be asleep by round 3 hmmmm....i think pete would be the one to engage between the two...the one to make the fight. the guy would go toe to toe for prolonged periods just because he was that damn cocky. duva's blood pressure was probably at an all-time high when he was walking down mcgirt and was trading at close range with paez.

Let's go division by division. Do you think the top fighters of the 80s in majority of the divisions would currently be champion today if they were in there primes in this era. Mike Tyson -Heavyweight Evander - Cruserweight Michael Spinks - Light Heavyweight Marvin Hagler -Middleweight Mike McCallum- Jr Middleweight Ray Leonard -Welterweight Aaron Pryor - Junior Welterweight Pernell Whitaker - Lightweight Junior Lightweight - Chavez It would be interesting to see Spinks vs Hopkins , Ray Leonard vs Mayweather jr , Aaron Pryor vs Ricky Hatton ,Tyson vs Wlad ,or even Hagler vs Hopkns at 160. The 80's prize fighter was all about get it on. Sure they wanted to get paid too, but the winner should get the bigger purse period. Maybe that'll make these so called "defensive" fighters go toe-to-toe. I'd still go with the 80's Champs....way more disciplined, gave it all they had, and were used to sparring for a 15 rounder.

The depth in the 80's was ridiculous - the top 20 of each of the welter, junior-middle and middle divisions were jammed
