De La Hoya was doing the same thing that SRL did to Hagler.. he'd wait until like 30 seconds till the end of the round after throwing complete bullshit the entire round, flurry, run away until 10 seconds left, flurry again, and take the round because of 'activity'. TWO FLURRIES A FUCKING ROUND DOES NOT MEAN YOU WIN THE ROUND WHEN YOU DON'T DO SHIT INBETWEEN. Mayweather constantly threw punches, DLH threw 1-2 flurries a round. Wooptie fucking doo. DLH was fighting smart and that's how he could have won but he should have thrown MORE flurries instead of 2 a round. Not to mention most of the punches did not land.. anyone with two fucking eyes and an IQ above 100 can see that.
Get off DLH's dick you ***gots and learn to watch boxing for what it is - BOXING. If this was "slap each other for 10 seconds and then sit in the corner" then maybe DLH would have won. Maybe.
Well I guess it just depends on what you credit when you score the fight. If you credit aggression as the most important criterion than I can see why you scored it that way. I never felt Mayweather was taking the fight to him, but imo there are other aspects to scoring the fight. If you watched closely a lot of DLH's punches were partially deflected or missed. Mayweather landed the more "meaningful" punches and was more accurate. I don't think there is a much of an argument that Mayweather did not win rounds 9, 10, and 11 and DLH won 2 and 7. Other than that the rounds were pretty close so it just depends on what you see.
Fair comment m8, I can see where you coming from.

Mayweather Vs DLH
To be honest, I cant see how Mayweather won that fight! He didnt really come forward at all, Yes he boxed well, But I nver see much aggression from Mayweather at all..I had it a draw or DLH on points..Never could have seen it A Mayweather win...And I aint know Mayweather or DLH fan there both good fighters.
I scored it live 115-115 on the night. Thought Oscar did the better work but simply ran out of gas in the final third of the fight.
I wouldn't have any arguments with a close score either way.
i figured floyd would win, but i still think he needs to fight other fighters to prove himself some more... pple like hatton, margarito, or cotto just to name a few... i think a younger de la hoya would've made the fight better, but that's just speculation... floyd should've won by UD in my mind
Yeah! There is the right hand. Now get the left hand and I will be happy.
Which left hand?
The one at 8 seconds on the youtube video of the 12th round in this thread.

It was right after that huge right hand.
I feeling Max Kellerman much more now. I think only 1 judge scored the fight right with the score of 116 - 112. That judge that was talking 115 -113 oscar need to be shot and hung. Floyd beat up on Oscar and didn't even use his best asset, his feet. He stayed real composed with his subtle movements and stayed in the pocket the whole fight. If he would have moved his feet more he would have really buckled his knees...
I said I'd give him credit if he was able to dominate 35 yr old dlh. he didnt dominate and that pitter pat and run style is garbage. call it hate if it makes you feel better but its just a fact. the all time greats stood there ground at times and traded. they took some chances to excite the crowd. mayweather is very talented but has no balls what so ever. he's also very lucky dlh decided to abandon his jab,,becuase he wasnt able to deal with it when oscar threw it. this may be a blue print to beating mayweather for the next solid fighter he faces
You are an idiot!!! Nobody ran in that fight. Hell he didn't even use his mobility and stood with him against the ropes while Oscar held and punched. He boxed the shit out of him in the middle of the ring with lead right hand and counter punches. He basically dominated him 9 rounds to 3. That was domination and people like you and that damn judge are idiot fan boys.

I understand why you don't like Floyd's style, but the fact is that his style wins him fights. You can talk about all these other fighters being great because they'll stand and trade, but Floyd would beat many of them. His style is made to win fights, not get you excited. And winning fights is what makes you great, not having a bunch of fans cheering because you're willing to get your face smashed every fight.

That totally proves that Mayweather's chin is much better than people really think.
Trying to win fan support by saying he pushed the fight and is the reason there was a fight. Hey, Oscar, you did do that, but you also got nailed with every fuckin jab Mayweather threw. If you get points for blocking with your face, I gotta give it to Oscar by a landslide. That is how Mexicans score, isn't it?
lmao. man you need help. obsessed much? go take some prozac and hide in a hole for a few years. your constant crying on here is getting old. your boy looked vulnerable to a dlh past his prime. he's lucky dlh stopped using his jab. how anyone can like a guy that slaps and runs is beyond me :bottle:
Okay, Floyd didn't kill Oscar, KO him, or busted him up. But for him to take a crack in a different weight class to one of the best fighters in the game, give the man the credit he deserves. Your favorite fighter didn't win (Oscar), but he did do his best and still couldn't win againsts. I mean many have tried to go up in weight and have failed miserably. Hatton, Shane, Oscar, Trinidad............they all have tried to conquer many weight classes fighting the top opponents in a different weight to find out they don't belong there at all. Oscar is a devastating puncher and was comfortable at that weight and Mayweather beat him fair and square. U didnt like the fight but, give him some credit:boxing:

The Last 4 Rounds Decided The Result
Mayweather step up(just a little bit) to convince the 2 judges. Golden Boy did not use the jab that often and held back.
Floyd didn't kill Oscar, but give credit where credit is due!

Lets hope MAYWEATHER fights guys his own size after this...
He was very entertaining against guys like Judah, and Gatti, and Castillo.
He was entertaining cause he didnt have to work as hard to get off his punches. He could get in close enough to throw combinations and he was a very fun guy to watch.
If he decides to fight on, i hope he doesnt take on some 154 pound guy, or another guy with a big size advantage like DLH did.
Cotto is an inch smaller then Mayweather, just as strong, and he has an extremely fan friendly style.
Or Mosley's only an inch taller and just as buffed up, and thats another very fan friendly fight.
